I've had smoking brakes after some runs, but the Plastidip never deteriorated. I ran them for the SITT. Still in good nick except for the chips around the lug holes.

Brake dust kills lighter colours on plastisol wheels but black would work (although still collect dust which isn't able to be cleaned off). Paint is a million times better IMO.

John I got my new Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted at CCS today so have your loan tyre back in my garage to get to you at some stage.
Tire rack gave me the wrong tyres they shipped in error and they've passed $600 reserve today on TM. Cost me the GST and duty so for once luck has turned :-P

Did you fit a heater fan bypass or delete with Lola? I think I will go with a bypass to keep some heat for Winter. I may also take out the Aircon compressor and start to work on a clean engine bay. The R needs nothing so I need to keep myself busy with Herman or the car buying itch will return.

No I still have the primary heater fan in the engine bay and aircon. Almost forgotten what Lola looks like.

Bypass, i think we'll need to be careful with the selection of the part. I've heard fitment can be an issue with some of the carbon parts. Currently in the 64 forum theres a good writeup on the best solution to the jumper wiring.
For the compressor delete, first remove the refrigerant. Then block the hoses before cleaning up the engine bay.
I'm not looking at weight reduction specifically, though any loss is good, but simply trying to tidy up the engine bay a little. All reversible of course.
Anything else to think of?

I have beed thinking of doing exactly those two jobs. Bypass, i think we'll need to be careful with the selection of the part. I've heard fitment can be an issue with some of the carbon parts. Ps removing the a/c compressor leaves the ugly and heavy mounting arm in place you need to get rid of that too although you may have to drop the engine to do so, but I suspect it's time for valve check adjustment soon for you John anyway....

Good work on the tyre sale Doug.
I gave up on the new RL app. I much prefer the old one and have gone back to it (its allowing me to post multiple pictures no problem). I really hope they dont introduce the new app!

I will place this on the RSG board later in the year, but wondering how many RSG folk on here are keen on SITT next year? Jo and I will be going and Im thinking to ask Tony to reserve us some spaces in Prestige.
Im figuring there will be at least 6 x RSG parties interested. Please let me know if you are interested or just start thinking about it and keep and eye out over the next few months on the RSG board...
