Yes, don't chance things. If it needs fixing get it done before you go.

9,405 photos which I can't work out how to get off my iphone. I might have to buy a phone at the Apple Store in Sydney to get back to a clean memory.

Thanks for the advice (and visual reminders John). Car is in at the moment getting a few things sorted before further enhancements later this month.

Tyre choice is an interesting one. Expect my next tyre will be MPSC2 once the MPSS wear through. Will most likely get a new set lined up for the trip. Is a long way away though, expect the Turbo will have another 30k on it by that point and will be due for a decent service!

John, should just be a case of attaching it to a PC/Mac and importing with iPhoto or Picasa (or whatever app you use). It should behave like a USB storage device.

Once they're on the computer, you can select picture folders you want to sync back within iTunes so you can keep those photos you want available on your phone. Provides a good backup option as well.

To be fair, neither my wheel nor Doug's battery seemed dodgy before we took off but it just pays to expect some hiccups when you run 6,000 km in a couple of weeks. Big things to avoid are the own goals like brakes, fluids and tyres.

Reminded myself that I had a few photos on my camera. Some from a weekend run recently and a few from Caffeine & Classics a couple of weeks ago.

You made that yourself from a kid's tricycle, a windsurfer and a hair dryer, right?
