Their terms were very strict - it all had to be done by 30 July. The new crowd have some new plate designs and colours but nothing particularly attractive - their Euro plate now comes in more colours but the design is still naff IMO....
As I read it the money raised goes to traffic safety. Maybe the returns were dropping so they retendered it to get more cash out of the operation. Higher prices and a possibly leaner operation might achieve that. They could also go after the aftermarket plates that the Project car had on it.

Maybe I should put 93TRBO on the market, it's not as if I'm likely to have a car that can use them again.

After 25 years of owning them I've decided Personalized plates are no longer for me, and have last week commissioned the "anti personalized plate" personalized plate :-)

The "NINEXI" plate on the 993 will be sold with the car probably later this year.

The GT3's blue investment plate "IX" is open to offers ("Number 9" also can be turned upside down for XI - when you hang it on your garage wall - but don't tell Tania!). Its a great Porsche plate (all model series starting with a "9") and great for Revolutionary Beatles Fans ("White" Album). PM me if interested.

Glance at it quickly and see if you can remember it....

G'day, arrived home from 6 weeks in Germany last night, snowline is about 50 m above house (alt 165 m - google earth). Had 2 boring rentals while away ( Opel 6 sp diesel & Skoda 5 sp diesel), Opel was quite nice to drive, but disliked e-handbrake. Both had auto stop/ start at traffic lights - clutch to restart, didn't like this feature either. Bet my left one it costs/ causes for enviro-harm ( extra wear starting = parts cost etc) than idling. Both achieved normal & safe speeds that would see you in jail here. Both consumed less than 6 l/100 km, AC always on ('twas warm!)
Left 993 on trickle charge/ conditioner, DO Not ( as I did ) plug in via safety socket with power surge/ trip when away a long time - was a power cut some time & C-tek was off
Cheers - D

Looks like your u were lucky with the snow Dave.

I detest start/stop and electric hand brakes too.

I have that Ctek t shirt. Worse still battery discharged itself completely back to mains in my case and needed second batter in parallel to allow my big charger to actually start putting current back in as otherwise it didn't recognise a cell on the end as the battery was completely drained. At $750 for a GT3 battery (it's extra capacity and amp for real wheel steering gear and chipped to the car) it was a lucky near miss. Hopefully you fair better...

Welcome to the cold...

Think I got lucky, power outage must have been recent - hit re-set button & was showing green within a couple hours.
Have you done any form of Porsche driving experience? Had a look at their Leipzig web site, but they were closed most of July. https://www.porsche-leipzig.com/en/o...vent-packages/
Better planning for next time!
