Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Paul. Fair enough. Not a criticism of PCNZ because in the 15 years I have been a member all these events like the old "DE" days at Puke have been held in middle of winter often in cold and rain. So there is obviously economic justification at play, plus the availability of staff to administrate who otherwise would be busy with the race series.
However each and every year (in my memory) some guy goes home with a bill far in excess of $250 or $500 (last year Ron, not small $$ either). That's not to say the conditions are to blame in each and every example, however it is in part to blame in a number of cases.
We know how much it costs to hire the track in September/October because last year RSG went through the exerice of getting pricing for Taupo/HD and Puke for our NITT.
Im just thinking, perhaps we/you should suggest we make this a Sept/Oct event each year. Its possible we could bolt it within RSG NITT as we already privately hire one track and could do same with HD in similar format to Taupo - PCNZ could run their sprints between our RSG sessions (some may wish to do both) and add a Prestige on for our other "friends". Time of the year is generally more mild than July/Aug, PCNZ dont take fiscal risk and we do a 3 track tour using our experience with Taupo to help organise a day at HD (i.e. we do 3 tracks in 4 days or drop Manfield).
This is obviously wrong time to discuss this so dont respond now, but just some ideas for the future....

Nice thought, thanks. I assume that means your bonnet and front bumper become surplus, right?

Doug; just got in and read all that. I feel for you mate, that is terrible news. Not worried about the car at all, it will live again. Get some happy thoughts going like fibreglass longhood panels and a retro interior. I caught you thinking that once! Glad you are ok.
Don't give up the track.

Thanks for all the happy thoughts. I can't see how I could afford to repair her fully at the moment, but a fibreglass backdate kit, now that's something to start exploring.
Oh Doug, I'm sorry to hear about your and Lola's off.
I've thrown a bike or two down the track. It hurts: physically, egotistically, financially. Best thing I found was to get back on the horse as quick as possible.
Anything I can do to help...

Now you are talking. Get her tub straightened and rolling, then plan at leisure. You have the Boxster to take on road trips. You can take the Turbo 3.6 for a spin at some stage to feel what a factory standard 964 drives like.

Thanks John. Team, please throw me your ideas and links on how we could make a budget project out of Lola. I like the idea of getting my hands real dirty. Here's a couple of photos of the damage.
On top of the panel and lights damage, the right hand front suspension is broken and there was oil pouring everywhere from around the oil cooler. The oil cooler fan cartwheeled down the road (recovered) and the oil pipes have taken a bit of a beating.

Doug, since you are posting pics, here's one to cherish. Lola's last photo before her new start
