This is right up my alley. Something with a story that I can't be afraid to drive due to its condition. Too bad my 991 hasn't sold or Id be making an offer.

This thread is amazing. Thank you for everyone's input. Helps out us buyers tremendously

PPF that it has should have come off years ago. It's yellow and bubbled. Wheels are chipped and raw in places.

If you want to turn it into a bare-bones track car, it might be the ticket. I can't attest to engine health, I didn't bother taking it out on the road.
Thanks for the info. So dealer CPO cars are not always in top conditions.

Oh goodness no. They're not even always not wrecked.

My 997.2 C2S CPO experience was less than good. Buy the seller, not whether or not it is CPO. At a large dealer too, you not only have to buy the dealer, you have to buy the salesman and my salesman when buying my C2S was less than honest, and falsely represented the car, knowing very well what he was selling. This was from one of the top Porsche dealers in the country from a very highly rated salesperson who has been at this dealer a long time.

In fairness, another member reached out to me a couple months ago asking what salesperson at the dealer I had as he was in the middle of a deal with him and he luckily had a great experience.

CPO should be treated as a warranty with some consumables replaced. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am seriously considering this car. I've read the members' post here regarding price fluctuations between 2012 and now for a .1

Ultimately I'm trying to gauge what is a good price range for this car, given the little information that we know. If this car generally checks out from a PPI, what is a decent range of price to pay?

Also had this car been a private deal, what is the comparable price range?

Thanks

I really like this car. Great spec and a high MSRP for a .1. Seems to me like the asking price is very reasonable, assuming the car is clean and unmolested. Looks like the prior owner put a bunch of black vinyl accents on it, including the whole roof. I'd probably want to peel that off before buying to make sure there is nothing hidden underneath, but it's unlikely seller would be willing to accommodate such a request.

I also agree the asking price seems reasonable. They have brought it down quite a bit over the last few months. There is some interior wear if you look closely but other than that looks solid. If the ppi checks out I’d say go for it.

Are we looking at the same car? The Dallas Lambo link is for an $87,000 GT3 with no vinyl.

The Dallas link is from a prior sale several years ago for the same car. The Autotrader link is for the current sale.

Here is another nice one for sale

I think this was sold by Switchcars just a few months back for similar price (asking) with similar mileage.

This White .2 RS looks like it is still available. Has 7k-miles and was on BAT back in February, but never sold as far as I can see. The car was brought up on this thread several months ago when it was on BAT. They are asking $176k.

Contact Doug for some history on this car. Price is rich for a car with some history and potential accident.

I doubt they move far off that price

They finally listed pricing
~196k
I remember it was listed in the 170s while at the Porsche dealership before the current listing. Given the miles(17k) and the apparent condition(rotors, rockchips) seems way off market.
