Thanks for the insights. Spoke with Doug whom I'm sure you know is a fount of knowledge when it comes to GT3s. He was very generous with his time and knowledge concerning this particular car.

Good to hear. If you end up purchasing, be sure to post some pics when you get it.

Natural leather is a higher quality leather. Friend has it in his 997.1 Turbo. I have full leather in mine, it's good.
Some info here.

The natural leather is a higher quality hide with a different dyeing process but in my experience actually wears worse than the regular leather. Also seems completely pointless on a GT3 where most of the seating surface is Alcantara so you're only getting the supposedly higher quality leather on the bolsters, door card tops, and dash.

I'm visiting my Family for the holiday (whom are in the St Pete Area / Tampa area) and don't mind conducting some RenFax if you need me to check it out in person.

The one I just purchased average speed was 26.78 MPH. The car has no sign of being tracked. I have heard the average speed for a track car is above 50 MPH.
27,292 miles divided by 1019 hours is 26.78 miles.

I just looked at this car. Been for sale for a while. I may still buy it, but I really think I/others should steer clear. It has had a collision w/ the barrier on the highway and the right rear 1/4 was replaced. The paint work is poor and there's some bubbling around the taillamp forming. A little rust was noted on the edge of the inner 1/4 too. Both front rocker areas near the front tire are worn down to bare metal. Crazy for a low mileage car, but I suspect it's grippy tires and been thrashed. Interior headliner was removed and the cassette was cut/cracked (?) to fit the rollcage crudely. All interior panels are really scuffed up from throwing the harnesses around. There's even a mark on the middle of the dashboard. The decklid is refinished really poor with zip ties holding the mesh and the underside of the wing has lots of paint flaking off. The left rear taillamp was cracked and repaired. The car was low on coolant. The homemade diffusers are sheetmetal and rattle like crazy. The mirror plastic trim was all busted. I'm sure there's more, but that's what I remember off the top of my head right now.

Thanks for sharing. I really think the best use of this thread is when people share this first hand, no biased information about cars that they are able to inspect in person. Hopefully 4 years from now, someone can be saved a PPI, plane ticket or even worse, buying a car that they don’t know has this level issues. It sounds like this would make a great track car project for someone, but probably not a great street car/weekend car if they want something clean. Ultimately I’d rather buy a higher mileage car in better condition, or even step down in model, to just get something a bit cleaner.

I gotta get behind the wheel to see if the chemistry is right. My short term stewardship of a new GT4 confirmed the chemistry factor as I regretted the purchase within a few miles from the dealer...

Honestly, the search for the right car was fun in the beginning but its becoming very frustrating. After my E90 M3 sale, Ive been chasing something as exhilarating and visceral and I thought the 991.1 S in the right color would fix that, but I was wrong. Its VERY encouraging to hear you guys speak of the love you have for this chassis. I want a car Im hooked on. One that excites me on every start. Seems I may be headed in the right direction
