There is a lot of mention in the ad copy about the bore being increased from the 3.6 to the 3.8 motor so maybe he's just trying to describe that and not doing it very well.
I'm pretty sure the car is mechanically stock. It sounds like he is describing the differences between .1 and .2 GT3's. Said displacement was increased from 3.6 to 3.8 liters and power went up from 415 to 435 horsepower.

Do you know the car or are you just speculating. I think you are probably correct, just wondering if you have inside info.

I am just speculating because nothing in the ad suggests it has been modified. Sounds like he is just stating factory engine specs.

I think your exactly right, he was describing why it was special and a “5 Star Collectible”. I asked him why 150 and he said it was all the extras he has like red interior and the increase in displacement etc, so I probably read into it. I offered 125k, he chuckled

This is apparently one of the last of the 15 cars he had in his collection before closing shop, if you offered full price I bet he would find a reason not to sell it. Trinkets are easy to remove... I think it’s a great spec but then so is an RS or new 992 lol.

If he responded to a $125k offer with that, then the car is probably not worth it. He probably wants something ludicrous that no sane person would pay. I think $125k is a very good offer and I would not pay much more than that. The seller is totally confusing me as he says it has increased displacement, but the description says it has a 3.8 liter and all .2 GT3’s have a 3.8 liter. Does he expect someone to give him an extra $5k for the red plastic strips and sport chrono surround he put on in the interior?

^ It’s obvious that he’s not serious about selling and just enjoys wasting everyone’s time.

Probably just listed it at some ridiculous price so he could see what offers he would get for the car with no real intention of selling it. Unless maybe someone offered closed to full price, which is unlikely.

So I reached out to Boardwalk Dallas Ferrari because that's where Strimdog traded his 997.2 GT3 in last week... on here he wanted $120k w/CPO here but I was a little late reaching out to him. Unfortunately after trading it in the CPO was stripped and now they want $129,900 for it, I offered $120k again and they said maybe after its been up for a month... greedy cause you know they only gave him 100k for it lol.

IMO, 997 GT cars are going to go up.

They are hard to find, they are somewhat rare and most importantly they feel analogue and are extremely satisfying to drive.

I would agree. I've seen it happening within the last few months.
