So what did you do to your 928 Today......

Thanks, I'll give the relay a shot. Come to think of it, I think the defog is inop so it bears looking into anyway. I think the real reason is that the thing has been on a trickle charger/life support for the better part of the last decade...couple weeks parked and I'm not surprised that it went dead. I was 'going to' pull the ground cable...till I peaked under the carpet and spare tire cover and saw stacks of amps and wires and stuff...Guess I have to face it now..or in the spring.
Just make sure you set the cable on a rag so it dose not come in contact with the car.

Only partly done. That's a pre-90 (hydraulic) **** modified to fit the newer pot, the newer ***** are NLA. (I also made it shorter, the original seemed too tall). The motors are in, wiring in process, and also working on relays and fuses for direct wiring for the H4's.

Removed my oil pan and cleaned it up a bit.
(Better bottom-end pics to follow.)
(Edit: holy cow. Is there a way to scale images in the vbulletin text editor?)

Rolled 80,000 miles on the odometer as I pulled into Brad's Garage. Today my 928 got an X-pipe (w/o cats) and new O2 sensor, Volvo Motor Mounts, Delrin Rack Bushings, Silicone Oil Pan Gasket, disconnected the Air Pump and a Mobil 1 15W-50 oil service.
Special thanks to the DFW 928 guys; Brad Webster, John Curry, Jim Mayzurk and Roger Tyson for a lot of work and a great installation.
All parts were supplied by 928's R US.

Burning Brakes
Started my torque tube rebuild.
1) removed airbox and crossbar
2) removed exhaust
3) removed heat shields
4) removed shifter boot and ****
5) removed lower bell housing (and unbolted clutch slave cylinder)
6) broke loose front two lower TT bolts
7) broke loose all 6 rear TT bolts
8) broke loose transmission mount bolts on cross member
9) positioned front drive shaft coupler for loosening (not yet)
Now reading up on how to drop the clutch pack without creating a trip to the ER...
Plan is to complete the rebuild of the TT with transmission still in place.
Big thanks to NC928S4 (Larry) for the loan of the lift-bars and the four 6 ton jack stands. Definitely wouldn't be doing this job without them!

Motivated for a fun SITM 2012....Chasing a rough idle that was formerly a no-start :|
Replaced Main Ground Strap, Sparkplugs, Plug Wires, Rotors, Caps and gave the ISV a dose of PB Blaster, Brake Cleaner and WD 40
Ended up unhooking the 02 and things seem to be a bit better. Will be replacing 02 Sensor, Fuel Filter and In-Tank Fuel Pump with Earlier Model Fuel Strainer.
Have ideas? Visit my thread here

Did some misc. electric cleanup, but it was so nice outside, so I decided to clean the engine topside.
Back at electrics this morning.
