I removed a PO-installed alarm system and the mile or two of wiring it required, then delved into reconnecting all the wires he spliced into the system back to normal. Tedious work but showing success, the radio works again, the clock, the one lighter that Porsche installed (I have an extra for a total of 3). Still having trouble with cluster illumination...

Trying to track down a short in the dome light. By the way, how many of you guys refered to a 'domelight' as a 'dopelight' for the first 30 years of their life. LOL

Mercedes shift kit to reduce 2-3 flare.

Works great. Took an hour.

got a box of goodies from Greg and 928Intl. and service covers from Roger.

right now I'm looking at an old 81 fuse panel and the new spade style panel.... my idea of doing a conversion is slowly fading away.....

Holy I actually did something!!
I put the new intake temp sensor on.

Old one tested good so into the tool box just in case, but sometimes it would start the fans when the engine was already cooled down.

But I did something, I did something

Well, yesterday anyway. Put new sunroof switch in, cleaned up the black metal switch try, fresh coat of gloss black, and everything now works in there.....

Ordered a new headlight relay yesterday at the local Porsche Centre Rotterdam, got it today. With two free porsche key cords and two porsche caps for the kids! Excellent service! Happy dad now driving the 1984 S2 5spd again with the lights on.
Excellent that they have these parts for 27 year old cars still available. Not a cheap relay, but with all the goodies, who cares!
Leo :-))

I washed the car and since the fuel tank is out right now I pressure washed the - uh - colon - section of the car. Found a nice big spider nest up in there and probably the 21st wasp nest (all dead). It was around 72 here in Baton Rouge so it was a good day to wash all the cars.

Last night I started the installation of a short shifter and precision ball cup, to be completed either tomorrow or next week, depending on when I am certain to have 4-5 uninterrupted hours.

Replaced 2 blown 3W illumination bulbs in the cluster.

First time removing pod - it was maddening trying to put it back together till I realised that the left side bushings have to line up with threaded hole that's hard to spot.

1.) R&R'ed the dead blower resistor pack in the GTS.

2.) Cleaned up a TT for its upcoming superbearing install:

2.) Coated some CPES onto Hebert's sunroofless headliners:

Ordered my X-Pipe from Roger and waiting on my 930S steering wheel to arrive! Going to see Sean R. soon to get my squeaky clutch fixed and install the X-Pipe.
Then to tackle my A/C woes.
