Started the first half of an intake refresh... everything taken apart, cleaned the valley of death, replaced parts, and am waiting for a few "O" rings & a breather hose from Roger. In the meantime, I'm stripping, sanding, prep, prime & paint the intake runnners & the plenums!! Still got a lot of work to do!!!

I monitored my left rear tire pressure after the bead seal repair.

Additionally, I repaired a broken adjustment tab on my left side driving light. The plastic had become brittle and broken allowing the lamp to bounce around within the housing. I used JB Weld and, assuming it might not bond well to the plastic joint, I applied a "cap" over it as well as through the joint with a "blob" on the underside (not visible in this photo). When the JB Weld sets up, it should hold it all together - for the cap to come off it would need to go straight up, which the blob on the underside won't allow without the plastic pieces separating - which they can't do without the cap coming off. The straw was just holding the piece in place while the JB Weld cured.

1. Took out the K&N air filter that was in my GTS from the PO and put in new OEM
2. Installed new rear hatch shocks.
3. Put a new 5" black carbon fiber/aluminum antenna

Baby steps

Tried to figure out why one month in the driveway has rendered the car completely unable to start, moved car out to remodel the garage and now I can't get car to start to get back in..... I feel a thread coming on.

However it does have the clutch slave rubber plug, unlike yours!

Did several loose end jobs that I had parts staring at me for a couple of weeks.

Replaced Coolant Tank Level Sensor - No more RED Check Coolant Level Warning

Replaced Coolant Temp II Sensor - Resistance test failed on old unit. Discovered this when testing for Low Idle condition. Lost Connector retaining clip in engine bay during reinstallation. Damn clip got stuck on latex glove and went flying to parts unknown. After searching for over 3 hours I started her up hoping the clip hadn’t fallen into TB area. No problems but I’ll never wear gloves again when handling the retaining clips.

Resolved leak in Transmission Fluid Reservoir - Must have overfilled when I replaced Reservoir, Filter and gasket. No more leaks now.

Used it to take my daughter to a ski race. Adjusted the hatch. Cleaned the horn contact ring so it stopped squeaking like a mouse when you move the wheel.

Passed NC inspection. Because of the cars age they only did a visual for Cat existence. Hopefully, there will be no Cats when she gets inspected next. The inspector dude told me he’s a Porsche fan and I wouldn’t need to worry if my Cats happened to fall off.

Also added some AT fluid because I drained too much off when I had previously over filled because I checked level in Park versus Neutral. AT fluid is a RPITA on this car, WTF was Fritz thinking or drinking?

Contemplating doing transmission mounts over the weekend...

Hmmm.

Finished the full trans service. Finished the battery cable replace by adding the sleeves, crimping and shrink-sealing the starter end lug. Everything is buttoned up again. Charging is excellent, even at idle with headlights and full fans.

Drove a sunset lap of Angeles Crest/Upper Big Tujunga Canyon/Angeles Forest highways. All is well in the 98 universe, at least as seen from the top of the L.A world.

NCS4:
On the trans service, the only difference between "park" and "neutral" is whether the parking pawl is engaged. Recheck the fluid level when the trans is hot, running in neutral or park, and sitting on level ground.
