I'm on my Iphone so didn't see the cat had bombed my photo. She's a rag doll. Follows you all over the place but not a lap cat and empathy is not a trait they have. Get a dog for that.

Unless you can insure the actual goods the only thing covered by the consumer guarantee act is the service itself. It has be done with reasonable care and skill. I told them that it was packed acceptably and clearly labelled as fragile so the service didn't meet the standard. They repaid the freight without too much pressure.

Glad I didn't know how much they are new as I would have been spitting. A real bargain on trademe. It was in a panel beaters for 2 years after being rejected because it was all clear and the 964 owner wanted green tint. Oh well.

So is there any practical alternative to the $2700 total all fitted with new rubber at ccs? Guess I'll be putting up with the pitted look for a while.

Steve told me there was a far cheaper option from Australia but I haven't seen it. I also thought the windscreen on Chris M's car was a possibility. It seemed to survive the crash. I think it was near new.

Yes, but if I listened to all of you I'd be driving a Camry and semi retired. I must enjoy the pain this obsession brings.

John. Ignorance is bliss (and often the cheaper alternative). Semi retirement is an oxymoron. Windows don't come out of 964's easily in one piece. Three pearls of wisdom from the Pacific...

Herman doesn't need a new screen yet. Thank goodness. When he does, hopefully it will be an insurance job.

Spending is starting to slow down now. Peter will hopefully have Herman's stance sorted once and for all and everything else aside from a worn synchro is looking good there.

The 996TT is working fine and Helga is days away from having new struts to go with new tyres and a arm bushes.

I'm sure he will also ship to Deano, they have a pretty good relationship. Otherwise taking the Turbo for a drive to Pirongia isn't that bad of a drive.

Those windows are a structural component so need at least 24 hours to cure. Theres a crowd Deano uses called European Glass. They did my rear about 3 years ago and have done dozens of 993s and 964s and seemed to make a good job of it. Im pretty sure I recommended them to Paul but Im hoping he used someone else given his dramas....

Dean recommends Professional Auto Glass.

Yes, that last photo shows the colour I want well. Maybe a touch darker. I think I have it nailed with the samples here.
So, I Found this leather importer place in Onehunga. The lady was so helpful it was a nice experience. She gave me enough offcuts to get that pair of Lederhosen knocked up if any of you have a pattern available? All the leathers I pointed to that I liked are Aniline, which gives the hides the natural look but she tried all day to talk me out of that type. Not good in the sun and shows marks and will need constant feeding. I didn't listen and I will go this way. I can get some hides perforated so would do seat middles and doors in this and solid seat bolsters to break it up a little. Reckon on 2 - 3 hides for the complete interior.
Looking good.
I followed up the seat lead and they are pricing it up. A couple of hitches are that they won't sell just shells, want to do the leather work, the seats don't have a base cushion to speak of (could look odd) and can't begin to think of how they would integrate some separate headrests. Will see what comes back.

How about a gimp suit. You could use it as a race suit as well !
