Dave. If you don't have enough for a gimp suit then a leather cap like your camp one would be a fine signature piece....

I'm starting to feel vulnerable, or is that how you boys like it? I'll do a collar and lead for the gimp suit too.

I know they're open on Wed and Fri nights to the public but we'd be just up the road anyway on Saturday, with safety gear to hand and cars fettled and ready...
Figured Paul had enough on his hands doubling up the Sprints so called the Dragway and asked what might be possible after the Sprints on the 15th. Apparently they need 10 staff, ambulance, fire engine and all that to run so a private opening afterwards would be $$. The good news though, is that they are open until 3pm that day anyway - $15 gate fee and $30 to do one or more timed runs, so we may be able to slip out for a run.

Just remember to line up -behind- the yellow 996T when you get there...

Anyone got a VBox or so that I could borrow just for the run to get more splits?

Dave - pretty sure you'd get in for free wearing that suit but you might pay in other ways depending on who comes to the drags (but at least most Porsches don't have towbars).

Sure there is. Insurance....
Mmmm. At the rate I put miles on the clock a stone chip might be awhile coming. Or did you mean something like "Now Mr Dotcom, do you mind splitting that cheque in two?"

That's not right John. Did you specifically contract out of any liability? Usually carriers transport stuff on LCL which has a liability limit of $1,500 per 'package.' No good for a car but fine for a windscreen.

They wouldn't insure it or accept liability so I sent it at own risk. I suspect they would have refused to send it if I held them liable for any breakage.

Another great service by Peter A. Herman is all ready for the track with the rear dropped 10mm and front dropped 15mm. Feels like a go kart.

Oh well - like you say, at least it wasn't $2k plus.

If anyone is interested in coming out to Puke tomorrow I have plenty of tickets and can leave in my letterbox for collection. Was a whole level up from trackdays - quite a few pro setups there with the overhead refuelling rigs, computer desks and even a lounge or two!! Saw Simon G out for a bit - quite a few GT3s in the field.

Just hope the weather holds. Looks like maybe a few spots of rain (or not) so will be last minute call on the 221s or 214s.

Sean - you'd be in your element mate.

I would have been there with my squeegee and brush, but am hosting the extended family for the weekend. Gutted I am missing out on seeing it. A guy at work is an official so I told him who to keep an eye on.

I'll be out at 12:30. Do I need to get a ticket to get into pits?

For a simple old SC, that one nails it.
