Paul, you are lucky. I was going to sneak the Turbo 3.6 out to the Gymkhana but I'm a couple of clips short to fit the shark fin and can't take her out in this state.

No, two things; I'm closer to death now than I was then and i'm also over garage queens. Looking forward to it earning some track patina.

Found the perfect pair of driving shoes for you. Am sure they're worth half a second!

That's good Dave because you are about have more tied up (emotionally and $$$$) in a 911 than you ever have done before including the minter queen 993.

It takes a certain mental fortitude David to build something with love then attempt to repeatedly break it. Trust me. It could take you a little while to get your head around it. Patina is a nice word for multiple stone chips LOL!

You simply must get those camo driving shoes Dave. Not as useful in winter but a little more subtle....

+1

I suspect a glass out respray would be the end of road trips for either of my older cars but yours is different, it's akin to a new car that needs to be used. If it isn't then you'll listen to Herman going past your place every weekend!

Btw Herman wasn't fazed by the rain today. Still a DD, albeit Air Con would be good to demist.

My 911 also at work today = no demist and must try out how to work the heater! No heat exchanger on the exhaust, just tubular extractors so it has a small petrol driven webasto heater

Graeme, slip something into your next board paper giving free 911 parking at Precinct properties. That will get them out and about just joking.

Do any of you guys know much of the history of this car?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-749591741.htm

It's an Auckland car that's been at the occasional Hampton Downs track days.

That belongs to Doug's friend, Jesse Ball. It was at one Playday late last year where we had good Turbo turnout. It's scheduled for another Playday on 19/7. If I recall it was doing low 1:20 so fast for an irregular punt around the track.

These Will go nicely with my gentleman's club lounge styled 911 interior.
