I hate thumb buttons, my wife's All Road has these and I sometimes inadvertently hit them while turning the wheel and change the car down a gear while cornering. My S4 has the paddles behind the wheel and this rocks

Called John and offered him my original struts so he's well covered for now

Chris M. I sent you a PM about the Cape Reinga run.

We vultures are circling your car. I've lost a special bolt that holds the rear spoiler hinges in place so the spoiler can't deploy or retract. None in the country (2 weeks to get one) so Dean is trying Steve o'wise I may be on my knees to borrow one of yours. We thought of John but his old boot lid doesn't have the retractable spoiler.

Looking forward to hearing your rebuild plans once it is all worked out.

Its the rearward left hand side bolt that goes through the hinge mechanism into the. Body of the boot. It has a thick collar after the thread and before the head. The head has an allen key slot.

Doug, If you don't already get yourself a copy of the PET parts system. Also pdf version of the workshop manuals full set. Mandatory for older 911 owners. Im sure John will have a copy of both.

mark & Darin will ship you within 5 days door to door if they need to but specialist stuff like this often take 5 days to get from PNA warehouse to them unfortunately.

Can you identify below the part (I assume part will be similar or same as 993).

Thanks Macca. Its the part number 35. I think the #34 is intact in the mechanism.

Looks correct. part is the same for 993 and 964 = 964.512.381.00 bearing screw M6x27 (bloody expensive screw mate = looks like around 37 NZD).

Ill look around second hand.

Yeah. I took one of the other ones out and it looked pretty "special" it holds the mechanism and acts as a hinge at the same time.

I need to wait and see how things roll before I can use any parts at this point. I bet a call to Steve will get one couriered to you at a reasonable price.

The PET manuals are all available on porsche.com. I have an electronic copy of the shop manuals as well. If be happy to slap them on an RSG Dropbox.

There you go Doug. Chris to the rescue with a copy of the W/S manual for 964. If you ever buy a 993 I have everything you need LOL!

Seriously though put them on your laptop as .pdf and with the PET as full program. The number of times Ive had to refer to these outside of internet coverage is numerous, although its great to have them online when accessing from an iPad or someone elses computer.
