Plastidip arrived so I went for it. Still drying but considering I went out of my way not to be seen with these wheels before I'm very happy with the new look so far. Daylight will be the final judge. Now all I need is a car to put them on. Thanks to Doug, I have a back up if the Steve sourced spare strut doesn't work.

Paul. For you. Mint Classic Grey crested, heated sport seats in 9/10 condition. Cheap too!

Come to think of it all the 993's on this thread have lowered / modified suspension.

Once you guys have finished taking the micky out of me,
I need to rally the PCNZ members into helping out for this fund raising drive please.
Doug - Maybe you can arrange a 'proper drive' beforehand??

Chris M. I sent you a PM about the Cape Reinga run. We vultures are circling your car. I've lost a special bolt that holds the rear spoiler hinges in place so the spoiler can't deploy or retract. None in the country (2 weeks to get one) so Dean is trying Steve o'wise I may be on my knees to borrow one of yours. We thought of John but his old boot lid doesn't have the retractable spoiler. Looking forward to hearing your rebuild plans once it is all worked out.

2. PCNZs turn to stuff up the scheduling as that's the Targa Sprint day. So Doug will be otherwise engaged, along with a bunch of the rest of us. Shame as I would have been in for this. Gary is taking my old C4 though.

Isn't Paul doing the Sprints as well? Right now, my diary is booked to watch that. Not that I'm sure old Porsche rides are what floats the youngsters' boats these days.

Another day and more progress.
The Plastidip has dried to a more even texture. Very acceptable for track tyres.
Also good news on the throttle. Some of you will remember I had clutch engagement issues after the rebuild. The pedal was at a different level to 'normal' boxes so we sourced a second hand box from Steve. It fixed the clutch problem immediately, but unwittingly impacted the throttle.
Basically I have NEVER had full throttle travel or the benefit of WOT triggering on the ECU since the rebuild. How much? We don't know, but the WOT switch is supposed to trip at 78% throttle. Mine never tripped.
I'm not going for a time attack on Wednesday in the Normal group but will take the AIM to record data for later comparison i.e. I will run sectors at full noise.
