Nik. All 993RS original sold via official channels in Japan were LHD I believe. They fetch a fair bit there now too.

Quite correct Steve. If these have been installed in the proper manner then the sheet metal below will need considerable re generation...

Does anyone know whats happened to heigo.de? Not that I track the car enough to warrant it, but I do like the fact the Heigo rollbars are removable/resellable and probably a good bit of peace of mind.

What's the weight and wait of these things?

No idea. Maybe gone bust and now the value of them will double like old longhoods LOL?

More likely there site is down.

Weight is approx 18kg for a half cage. The wait is 3-6 months. The price around $2800+ NZD with the additional X brace landed and taxed. They fit very nicely, quality product and were factory fitment via exclusive on the 964 & 993.

If you wish to order email Gert at Carnewal.com

Or simply find out where Dave's one is and make an offer. I've lost track of it.

Site is fine. And thanks for causing me to waste another 10 minutes browsing it - though my understanding of German is ultra basic.

I may well not need it as strong options are being explored, but wondering if any RSG members have front struts lying around?

One of Herman's Bilstein shock nuts was seized and the strut needs repairs after extracting it.

Fitting a matching set of other struts suitable for a 1990 C4 is a temporary option if the strut can't be repaired quickly. I have another Bilstein strut on its way.

Sorry to hear this. John. I hate it when stuff like this happens (as it seems to do regularly on these old girls).

Surely its unwise to mis match shocks front to back let alone side to side (even a new one on one side etc). We are not driving to work in these cars afterall.

I would get it down to Autolign (Bilstein agent) in Mt Wellington today. Id be very surprised if they couldn't rebuild it asap. Infact get all 4 of them down there and have them checked for compression etc the same time.

I don't think they would be in track condition.

The guys are working on it. I should have said there is a strut on its way that may be used to replace new broken part in the strut.

John. Good stuff. Yes I agree. Chris shocks look a bit passed their best. That should read "past" actually. Damn dyslexia!

Unfortunately I dont believe I jhave anything that will help mate. Otherwise you would be welcome to it. Steve is obviously to the rescue so lets hope that solution works. Im sure youll have it back on the road in no time!
