Queenstown to Mt Cook in the rain. Still a picturesque experience...

Thanks Peter. I've got withdrawal too. And I never owned one. What is it about these cars?!

Wow. Love the shots, Doug. I love the drive through Lindas Pass. Not the twistiest but still has enough to keep you interested and some great high speed corners. It has a real eerie desolation to it that strangely appeals to me.

I particularly like the profile shot with the power poles in perspective.

Lovely pics Doug. Shame about my crappy off white plastidip paint job on the D90's. That off white colour sure does suck in the brake dust and never lets it go.

Thanks Graeme. I've wanted to do that drive into Mikford Sound for years and this was the perfect opportunity to do it with the bonus of having and old 911 sitting there read to go. Resistance was futile! I'll get to Amisfield another day with family as we are down here every year to see the Otago family members.

Thanks, I had my eyes peeled looking for a line of power poles and that's the best I spotted. Lindis Pass is lovely scenery all right. I took it all slow yesterday exercising my eyes and stopping often. Was last to Mt Cook by ages, ha ha.

Yeah it attracts the brake dust which wont move all right. Current plans are to paint them black with polished rims. This could still change. The battleship grey side looks great. Would have loved to wear the gold ones but thought the length of the trip on half worn tyres to be too marginal.

Shopping in Germany. AIM Solo - 1970's style. These will adorn the dash on the longhood build in place of a stereo. An AIM Solo doesn't lie, but these babies sure can. Was all set to get them out of the states with the dreaded freight and tax to NZ but a few quick emails and they will be at my hotel tomorrow with good savings. Wish I had got myself better organised to collect a few more goodies.

Doug, the only think about having a different colour lip is that it normally makes the wheel look about an inch smaller.

Gold Cup 2's would look awesome on a red car.

Just rolled into the final destination, Christchurch. A long day. Started at 5:45am travelling at warp speed in the dark and near freezing temps to get to Timaru. Good track at Levels. Total distance now at 5,099km. Ruapuna track day tomorrow. Herman looking a bit dirty.
