If I can get a decent donor car (3.2 or SC) we'll do a '73 RSR outlaw/ hot rod. Looked at a lot of cars but again the suitable donor at the right price is tough.

Patience is not one of my stronger points I should add! lol Will be worth the wait though. Either one will be a little bit different, like the 964 is.
Sean, what sort of donor car do you want (I assume just a shell?) wanna buy my C3, I am looking to swap out for a proper race car............

RSR flairs front and rear are different to 930 - if you want the real look rather than a modded 930, you are changing the guards anyway.........

Add in there 8k for full respray and 100+ hours for panel work...

Paul Stephens in UK does a 964 backdate and there is some info on the web about his creations but they may not be as authentic as using a pre 89 donor.

For longhood I think Magnus Walker has some great ideas. He uses '72 base as a favorite platform. I cant help but think that getting in early on a commission with him would be a very wise long tern retirement investment as he becomes the "Franck Loyd Wright" of the early 911 hot rod scene over the next decade or more. Hes not a fly by night guy. Might cost you 100k usd today but I think it would be utterly unique, massively coveted and double in value in the next decade for sure...and how cool do they look!

I agree, he's definitely got a great style.

Fair point, I didn't think the rear was that different though?

Ideally something already registered, RHD and no sunroof. No rust. Running gear condition is not an issue although would prefer a manual box in there.

I have asked for it to be ready by end of the month so I can do the next play day.

I don't think I'd do the gymkhana, I find it frustrating as it suits modern cars and boxters, but will go down and visit for the day...........

Well let me know if you want out. I'm sure you'll hear if something else comes up in the meantime.

Cheers.
