Speaking of sound, here's what a 964RSR sounds (and drives) like with straight cut gears et al.. My '64 has the primary bypass, I think it's a perfect amount of engine noise for a car like this. When I first drove it around town, thought it was quiet enough to be the original sound. But then you're quickly aware its not standard turning the ignition on a quiet morning in the neighbourhood. The lack of sound-proofing under carpet is a different story, it might be lightweight dynamat time for the back after putting some k's on over summer on our bitumen roads. All of the 11 are coming apart from 1 (he can out himself!!) Plus we have 3 registrations via Playday.

I spent an hour taking to Simon post the Taupo races. If you're going to buy a race car it has to have a reasonable chance of winning. Otherwise you're there to make up numbers.

Relative silence while some of the RSG faithful are at Hampton Downs today. I'd be there too if I weren't 4 hours north at the beach on holiday. Might have to go for a run (I'm my car, of course).

Can any of you get access to an EPROM programmer and some 27C512 28 DIL chips?
The reason I ask is that I am investigating to possibility of remote live dyno remapping (using Wayne Schofield from 9M / Chip Wizards). He has a son in Wellington and hasn't said no at this stage. Just working through the logistics of what he needs at this end??
