Haha. The reason Kohi is full of old Porsches is that we have no top end schools around here so house prices are reasonable and we can spend the remainder on machinery.

Very old Bridgestones. The car has hardly been used for the last five years, literally 1,000km's a year, and needs a really good servicing and dialing in to make it run as it should........here goes $10k in tires, servicing and suspension refreshing to get it sorted........

Ok, it started with C4, C3, 993 for the SITT. Now it's Cayman S, 993 and 991 GT3. Think I'll just bring the 996TT. Aircon, cruise control, built in radar and laser jammer. Not to mention tipo and 420hp. Do we get feather pillows at our digs?

It's like yoda says, you need 3, a daily, a classic show pony and a race car, John is the only one who has achieved this.

We need Doug to sort out some scenic drives for during the week. I think I'm more in for the road trip than finding a 'Dave' with my lap times. I would be really keen to do Milford Sound if anyone else is up for it?? The only time I go to Queenstown is for work....

Paul. I run the PSS10 at 4 front 6 rear for the road. Rolls bars I run middle slt front and rear. For Targa I leave the coilover settings 4-6 but soften the sway bars to softest of 5 on front and softest of three on rear. If the roads are really bad Ill knock off a click from the rear coilovers. For the track I will stiffen the coilovers to 7 front and 9 rear. I usually leave the rear bar in middle slot of three but soften the front bar bu at least one hole sometimes two. Reason being is I have a motorsport LSD in the 993 and LSD's have one negative trait - they can increase understeer - but with adjustable ARBs and coilovers you can not only compensate for this by keeping the front soften but you can almost eradicate understeer from general geo along with camber and toe in characters.

I have yet to have enough track time with the 993 to get all my setting sorted but I expect I can actually adjust the settings in the future when I become more proficient for fuel load too.

If the 993 is to remain a road car but visit the track occasionally then HD + Mo30 or H&R springs will be fine. As it doesnt have an LSD I would look to buy the C4S or turbo roll bars which are cheap and thicker (stiffer). I cant remember the best set up as I always had the 964RS arbs but RL search will be your friend.

Despite what John has mentioned above Im still planning to use the 993 for SITT. I cannot guarantee the 991 GT3 arrival and compliance in time so Im having the 993 prepared with new brakes, wheels and tyres. I went with Michelin Pilot Super Sports for a road tyre. From all research and accounts its hands down the best summer tyre you can buy for a Porsche today. I will also be ordered some for the 991 GT3 in a months time as Ill probably have 4000km on these Pilot Sport Cup 2s by the time the car ships. For the track I will send down the current wheels with Z221 C70 same ttyres that have already done the NITT. They will definitely be shot and dead by end of 4 tracks in SITT and likely wont come home on the rims!

Today we left the Italian coast for Tuscany via Pisa. Weather has still been perfect 16 degrees but cold in the shade or after sun down (5pm!). I believe there is a day of rain on the way later in thee week but otherwise so far blessed. 991 GT3 is making splendid tourer even loaded down with 2.5 suitcases + 2 weekend bags, 2 adults and a full tank of 100 octane Super+ (yes you can buy 100 octane everywhere here via Agip stations - so cool).

After this Italian Riviera (San Remo via Rapallo again). Theres a good hill drive behind San Remo around 55km return I want to give a go. Then onto Monaco and Nice. I have three afteroons of really cool roads here lined up including Route Napolean the D2 and the M6212. These have all be used for EVO tests. Not sure where after that as we are booking only 2 days ahead for everything and just using trip advisor and google maps plus a few searches to choose our destinations. Currently at a medieval town on the top of a hill - will send pictures very "Tuscan"....

FDMotorsports sell the PSS10 for 993 for 2600 usd plus shipping USPS (at cost). They may help with the GST too . I think you can get in under 4K...

Yes please!

The 993 looks great, Paul. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Nice work on the Cayman, Pete. Looking forward to seeing it.

It's getting tough to keep up with everything going on these days!
