For the newbies and the lurkers.............all our drives and track days are posted on this forum.

We are keen to grow the Rennsport Gruppe, so if you are keen to take the next step and do casual track days, BBQ's & Beers, spirited Sunday drives and the occasional boys weekend away, this is the group to join.

Membership is generally buy invitation as we want to make sure everyone is the right fit, 'social' and doesn't have more BHP than marbles......but we are keen to grow the group and meet new like minded P-Car people.

'Right fit' should be expanded on. We're looking for Porsche nuts who enjoy talking, driving and generally owning their cars. There is no bar on the type of Porsche or on comfort zone on the track.

Sharing is an important part of what we're about. If you're overly competitive or egocentric then it's probably not for you. We're not racers or shine and show people. We just like to drive our cars the way the designer intended and share the passion.

Speaking of sound, here's what a 964RSR sounds (and drives) like with straight cut gears et al..

My '64 has the primary bypass, I think it's a perfect amount of engine noise for a car like this. When I first drove it around town, thought it was quiet enough to be the original sound. But then you're quickly aware its not standard turning the ignition on a quiet morning in the neighbourhood.

The lack of sound-proofing under carpet is a different story, it might be lightweight dynamat time for the back after putting some k's on over summer on our bitumen roads. It's almost double the interior noise on bitumen compared with motorway driving.
