Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Chris, take whatever has the most appropriate tyres. As for the spare, I've read that as well, but I've never used mine so took it out. I'll likely put it back in to go on this trip.

I think transport is being worked out. We may well have to courier some parts to Queenstown as taking Steve's van will cost a lot to get there. I will likely take my race jack. BTW be very careful with those jack pads you bought off me. They click in so well it's easy to leave them in. Don't ask me now I know.....
John, if Steve is there this Saturday, could you restart this conversation with him.

Your 18s would be good if that's convenient as we will have several cars running 18s and your spare could be useful in the event of a ruined tyre.

The plan was to work out the logistics of tyre, tools and spares transport with Steve as he has organised these kind of logistics many times in the past. His thinking was bulk freight Auckland to Queenstown, Queenstown to Chch(of our road wheels), Chch to Auckland. John, if Steve is there this Saturday, could you restart this conversation with him.

John and I have decided to change the dates of the Cape Reinga run to be a week earlier, ie the weekend of the 7-9th March. This will help it serve as a proper shakedown for the SITT, we can take our time over the Cape Reinga run and enjoy it more, and get a weeks rest before the SITT departs a week later. Logistics and details are being posted on a new event thread over on RSG in the next 24 hours. Chris I hope these dates suit you ok.

My Family will likely attend the Sunday session of the Festival of speed, so I will have spares for the Saturday, 18th. I think I get four tickets (yet to arrive), which will leave at least 3 spare. I think Chris M is interested. Any others?

Hi Garry
Nice car….but I'm sure you miss your Champagne yellow 356 from days gone by?
Also re your search for a pre impact bumper 911…….last year I was looking at a restoration shop of full bare body metal restorations in Costa Mesa with the end result being better than new for sure……right down to the original houndstooth upholstery…..and they were pre-sold at around the $US180K !!!!!!!!!!!!
I recall that were 3 or 4 of them there.
Cheers
Bob

Ive been discussing the plan with Steve and Dan and it is as you outlined John. Additional component would be Dan coming with us to cover mechanical support for the trip.

I will have 8 tickets for both weekends, so plenty of tickets for anyonewho wants to attend either weekend.
