Dave, please let the tribe know if it gets too much and you weaken and look to quit the SC. Keep room in your schedule for the odd spiritual weekend away too please! You can tell the misses you'll be able to work twice as fast after a refreshing break

Photo is poorly executed joke - cow's eyes / cattle stop......... (ha ha - nah)
Car is going well and quite bearable on the road with new shocks - no longer tram-lines and "almost" missus friendly.
Doug - you might have to take me on that South Alk run again, the one that takes us through the back of Huntly - see if I get car stick again or not......
I have decided I want a 356 next.

Would certainly do that. I took it out today running around town and what a lovely creamy smooth car. It's just a delight.

Buba, I agree the 356 is an iconic looking car and vastly under rated. I think the reason the correlation between 356 owners and 993 owners is so high is due to the look (BobM, MaclomT etc). But I couldn't live with one personally - unless is was an Outlaw with 356C brakes and 2.0 engine.
Im glad the 996GT3 is running well. Now the challenge before you is to finally complete an ENTIRE North Island Track Tour ;-P

To state the obvious, they will never build cars like this again. We had a near new 530D for the German and France part of our trip. Competent, but really more like an appliance than a driving experience. Not sure I can find room for more cars but I'm now in no hurry to sell the Project car. It turns out Donna never thought I would. She's a keeper

Closely considering this too. Anyone who may be interested in co driving the NI leg (and sharing the basic costs) in a new 4x4 Ford Focus RS drop me a PM. Some "gravel" experience useful...

Mark, learned to drive on that road we drove together - when it was all shingle, but in a '67 Anglia with all of 39 hp & a huge gap between 2nd-3rd. Think you'll have quite some fun with the RS. Enjoy!

Having spent the last 11 years on a "dirt road" (actually coral), Im familiar with the slippery stuff and have high regard for the skilled rally wheel-men that pilot their cars at high speed on loose metal surfaces.

Err - I was thinking of whimping out of Manfield leg - no cars to buy from Gary (and hopefully no broken clutch fork).

I am having second thoughts on the 996 GT3. If someone whats one PM me, mine could be seriously for sale.
Thinking of just getting a 44 race car for track days and buying another classic (308/356/what ever else comes along?)
