A good think about John is he can turn on a dime and now there's no way he will sell those track wheels. Mission accomplished ;-P

I like the idea of finding the 1.5 secs Macca promises me on these tyres

I may yet fit them to the Fuchs, but yes track wheels are safe for a bit longer. Now we will see if the 888s have been holding you back.

Great find Paul! I know the car. But I must confess without the speed lines it doesn't look half as good! Be interested what times it puts in at the sprints. Any ideas?

How did you all go today at the sprint qualifying?

Pete and Walt had my measure in Practice.

I don't know the official quali times as I drove straight home after exiting the track, but Jeff Delio text me saying he timed a 1.13.8, so hopefully puts me on the front grid.

It was interesting chasing Pete and Walt yesterday - I had nothing on them in a straigth line (Walt is actually quicker by a car or 2), and only took time on them under braking.

I agree the 993 needs the speedlines - but was still nice to see the car. It's running in the Classsic Trials so only pootling around the track in high 20's.

Although they are track rims, they have road tyres on, so not set up for good times.

Yes Simons old car now owned by a jeweller in Parnell IIRC. Classic trials makes since as I saw the road tyres. If that's secret language for regularity trials then he is welcome to that lol! Be more interesting in a Riley Elf IMO.

Good luck at the sprints today guys. Keep us updated....

Just a heads up that the Warehouse has some storage units on special that could be suitable for tidying up ones garage. I kitted mine out with ones from Supercheap but these for the price would do for someone that doesn't want to spend over $5k on custom units. They on they're "online only today" specials in the link below.

If they are anything like the Supercheap ones you could probably mount the smaller units on the wall as well.
