The RUFs look great on Shannon's car - they suit it really well. But I really like your current rims on yours - it looks cohesive. Hard to think what I'd change on yours!

For what my 10c is worth - I like Cup 2's the most on 964's - they really suit the car.
Nathan - others may differ, but I seriously think 18's are too big for a 964, they look cool for caffine and classic's, but for track day performance, I would run low profile 17's to lower the gearing, reduce unspring weight and tyre friction.
Actually - I would personally try low profile 16's to really lower the gearing and unspring weight, the car would start to feel light and nimble, which isn't a 964 trait when compared to earlier 911's.

I agree here. The 964 cups had these 3 piece 18s on as does Steves Gulf 964 race car and they look just right to me. The contact patch they afford by being 18" is a benefit in racing over a 16/17 and hence they were used but I hear what you are saying re the z221 235 as I run it on 18 too and it's actually equivalent to a 245 road tyre so robs the car of some manuvorbility on the road and looks odd being a larger diameter than the rear. It works bloody well on the track tho. Reducing sideway profile for rolling diameter reduction isn't an option on 18s for these cars I don't be,I've....

As an aside, I'm looking to simplify my life and de-clutter my garage (19 tyres!!!). When Herman returns from this extended fix (7 months out of action) I may well look to sell the Frankenstein D90s, shod with Z221, plus get the two front 214s and Z221 from under the house. I will focus on road trips with the C4 and racing with the Integras. Expressions of interest are welcome.

'Limited' use is the better description. Work scheduling and the gearbox issue are killing 2016 track opportunities and I have a race car parked up in my driveway I can use when the schedule is favourable.
When I do take Herman out on the track it will be on weekends like the NITT, and even then I can tailor the driving to the set up so track wheels and tyres aren't necessary. I have far too many 'things'. Time to take the weight off and trim the clutter.

And I have to park up the GT3 Macca to save up for some more fuel, took a fair bit of motorway driving to get it down into the teens there! Track work certainly cranks the average up.

Tell me about it. Mine seems to hit 29.9L/100km when I'm at the track.

Smiles to the gallon is huge though. I think fuel cost at track days is the tip of the iceberg in terms of overall costs - best ignored!
JohnM, I'm sure you'll regret not having track rubber for Herman. Please don't do it. You can't plan on bringing an Integra to play with pcars at track days. 2016 will be over before we know it and replacing them will cost. Get rid of spare unmourned rubber by all means but not your track wheels.

Agree. I regret selling my spare wheels and I didn't yet have them shod with decent rubber! Will mean I get to buy some after market wheels for the road - just need to make a decision on the make/model...
