You are right on the button there Graeme.
I swapped the seat cushions from driver to passenger for the Bambina and it made a difference I think.
Ive done 20,000 km on the old cushions and I think they have given their best and compressed a bit now. The passenger ones have done less work. When I had the seats built I asked for the passenger cushion to be made 20mm thicker for my wife and they felt a bit better. I also asked to have a set made in leather (rather than the Alacantera ones Ive been using all this time). Those are in storage and have never been used so I may get them out and put them in when I tour again next. By the time I wear those through I suspect the seats themselves will need recovering. The driver side inner thigh leather is getting rather shiny and worn by now. I reckon they will give another 20,000 km before they need a rebuild. By then she will get paint and a image change in any case :-)

No interest in seals then John? https://nzfreed.wordpress.com/2012/0...-north-island/
That's a good option but I think we'd need a 3 day weekend. Leave to run north on Thursday night and fly home from Wellington Sunday night. Or do the Cape Reinga run as a shake down a week prior to the East Cape, Cape Palliser run. Flying back breaks it up nicely.

Get the foams off Racetech and use a local upholsterer to cut to fit your cushions size. Or send the whole cushion to them to do. key is the dual density.
For my race seat I found the original soft foams too soft and the hard shell seat becomes uncomfortable. I ordered another cushion made from higher density foam no soft foam on top cos I wanted max feel. co driver side now sits on double soft foam.

I have updated the information on the SITT. We now have venues and dates.
We need to establish numbers for the event. If there are any on here (or friends they may know) not RSG members who would like to spend time on the four SI tracks in March 2016 please PM me. We need to firm up numbers by the end of May. At this stage I had Spokes (Stephen) & Shiraz (David) as possibles for Cromwell. However it would be good if we could raise our numbers for all four tracks from the 20 that have already indicated attendance...
Thnx

Yeah cheers, that V8 of the RS4 does sound good.... I haven't listened to the radio in that car since I installed the miltek system 3yrs ago!
Just as well I like driving that as it'll probably be at least a month before I get the R back. It was the wire on the fence that did the most damage.
