Hi John, Was on the way back from Wgtn. Left at 5am to avoid the queues, but still a steady stream of traffic pretty much all doing 100kmh which was fine. Left SH1 at Turangi then up thru Mangakino, Ngaruawahia, SH22, Mercer, Hunua and home. The car's been fantastic!! Ride's great for long trips - only tried the harder suspension settings twice (for a few seconds) and I'd agree that that's more for smooth tracks. Bucket seats have been comfy too, no sore back or bum - just a little tricky to get in and out. Just thought that lowering the seat a little may make getting in and out easier, especially with helmet on. A little hard to see out the back and I've scraped the front multiple times at very slow speed and being as careful as poss. No visible damage. Will have to consider where I take it. Can't stop driving it. Done 2100km already so easily have over the 3000km run in period before the trackday on 9th Jan. The engine has much more bottom end than the Cayman GTS I drove so gearing to me seems perfect - you can leave it in 3rd or 4th on SH22 and there's enough pull to adjust the attitude of the car. And there's little feeling of weight transfer even on braking - coming from an M5 driver. Best part is that it's fun to drive even at moderate speed. Sounds great from 3000rpm - I remember my 997.1 C2S not sounding great till 5000rpm, and I think loud enough to scare people when overtaking 
Only taken it to 7500rpm a couple of time so far and very pleased how it keeps pulling harder as the revs rise. I know it has the same 0-100kmh time as my M5 - It'd be interesting to know the 0-200kmh time given the near 200hp deficit, but 600kg advantage.

Sad indictment of current blinkered road revenue gathering - I mean "safety"- policy. Add in a patrol car & everyone drops down to 85 kph - they actually worsen the problem, just by being there.

I'm thinking about that. The guys made a nice handbrake boot (not yet fitted) and I think that you are right that it might just finish it a bit better

That was a fun drive!! I did manage to contact Nathan about tyres and he gave me a really good price (I thought) on MPSC2s.

Keep a look out. Ex Asia or NZ new is good. Tipo is fine. Must have no rust. circa $40k.
