Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

That looks really tidy Pel from the photo's. I remember this car being on trademe maybe a year or two ago and it sat there for ages. It had the race livery on so maybe put some punters off on first impressions. Not sure of the asking back then but might have been $30k? I'm really interested to see how it goes on those carbs.

^^^ No. Its LHD, compliance cert form manufacturer is non existent as its a motorsports product sow would need ground up LVVC, as it has limited wiring loop, no hand brake and internal anchor points and furniture are no existent from factory it would require alot of serious work. I believe the Mad Butcher took a RHD 996.2 GT3 NZ new and turned that into a cup as the cost of doing reverse was twice. My guess is it could be done but budget 50-70 and buy lots of panadol.

^^^ It can be done Macca - Doug and I discovered the other day that the 964 Cup car of Steve Neville is road registered- I would have thought the same issues??

Yes true Buba. I know two 964 cup cars in NZ that are road registered but my answer was "No" to the question Can something like this be made warrant-able relatively easily?. Its not easy for a 997 Cup car. Back in the 993/964 era I think the cup cars were "simpler" and closer to their road equivalents. Since 2003 the race cars have become more complex and the NZ compliance process far more stringent. To get rear seats into a 991 GT3 today is almost impossible (and requires LVVC) but back in 2007 dealers could just install rear seats in 997.1 GT3 without drama (the factory even left the mounting points under the carpet back then). However I think you will find the body in white for the Motorsport department produced 997 Cup cars differs alot from their GT3 road counterparts...
