You're right Paul, I didn't scroll down to see the second picture under John's words earlier today when looking back at page 430.

Here's that second pic, a bird's eye plot of the lines:

As the track outs are almost the same line, Paul's line here is not actually the typical double apex one by my reckoning though as the typical one allows a longer straighter run onto the straight.

They need to be five of the same size so I'd prefer the size as is. I think you'll find the existing one is quite deep. I have one of the Red/Blacks already.

Default rubber part number? help?

Hey guys.
does any one know the part number or the name of the part that is used to hold the brake pad sensor wiring back to the body? It's some sort of grommet to stop the wire chaffing the body. This is on the front of a 964. Had a look at the pet diagram but couldn't find anything. Mine are perished so need some new ones.

Cheers Dennis

Thanks Jack for the input. I'm going to see how things go with this new carrier later this week and if still no luck may have to look at more creative alternatives...!!

I had a look through PET and couldn't find it either. Maybe take it into CCS or Giltraps and get them to identify it and sell you the part?

Warwick, what have you done with changing Mr Black's coils, even tho the others were non-original it suggests you may be in the same boat. Were original C4 suspension non-height adjustable?
Jason, any advance on this? I just rang my insurer. They said that as long as i have a WOF and Reg then i'm covered. CCS have asserted that a WOF without Cert won't be an issue. Incidentally, my premiums are lower than a popular competitor used by many here and i am covered for club track days and drivers ed, etc. Private RSG days i'm not sure about

Which Rennline battery mount do you use?

RSG should be considered a club in that context, though worth confirming.

With privilege comes responsibility. There would be pros and cons if it came to labelling the beast. Maybe RSG should incorporate in Vanuatu...

Back to metal again. How is the 997T weaponization coming along?

If it was a Classic or Club event licensed by MSNZ, MSANZ or FIA then all good. I'm not sure any of our events are?

We've looked at incorporating and as Walt eludes to the privilege is well and truly outweighed by the cost and responsibility. As Warwick also mentions we would then be directly responsible to MSNZ rather than hiding behind the skirts of a paid 3rd party (better for any potential liability issues) the 3rd party insures for such issues.

Rennline battery bracket will depend on what size battery chosen. I use PC925 AGM and Rennline make the bracket that fits. Nice piece too.

I think the wire holders are known as brake line brackets...

Thanks Macca. Jason has been using a small and very well priced battery for the last few years along with the matching mount. I was wondering what mount he used with his battery. I can't quite get my head around spending > $500 on a battery That said, those Odyssey have a great reputation

I've been using the Odyssey PC925 for 5 years now. They are around $400+ from memory. I think a decent quality lead acid battery for the 993 probably runs around $200 in any case? The weight savings with the brackets was considerable. I also like the cut off switch capability of the Rennline bracket (I use it each time the car goes into storage).
