Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, that video is double speed. The speed limit is 60km/hr and most people seem to do 50. It's also a 2 way road. There is no way a RAV4 can do 120km/hr through there keeping to its own side of the road.

Love the garage Brian. Glad to see you still have the 993 C2S and good to see plenty of patina on its front bumper to show its being driven...

That garage looks great! As do its residents.
As Macca pointed out, the 964 Cup is much closer to road spec than the 997's - has a hand brake etc. I don't think it was too much trouble for them to get the LVVC.

Are any anniversary cars in NZ? Great to have those hips on a NA platform.
How you can respray a car without even changing seals is beyond me. Why bother?
Interesting also that he says no rust yet those driveshafts look grim. You can only imagine what's hiding in the window surrounds and the sills. I suppose he will find out when he resprays.
Herman's refurb is ticking along. A slight hiccup with the gearbox in that the dog gear on 4th also needs work.
I am using my downtime to work out a project timeframe. With more weeks away after my leave, I suspect it will be cutting it fine to be driving by Christmas.
On the positive side I'm having some great conversations with other 964 owners who are planning work that blows my mind. I'm mulling over another project when Herman is finished. Garage space, tools, new skills and inspiration are a dangerous mix.
Spoiler alert if anyone hasn't watched this comparo yet, but the most surprising comment for me was that the Aston had better steering than the Porsche (and that even despite the Aston's being a bit tight just off centre). Haven't driven either so can't comment directly but I think Porsche has gone off track here.

VW gathering today at Okahu Bay.
The black SC has a 3.2 plenum and a link computer. One way to get out of the CIS crapshoot. Goes well apparantly. This was the black car on TM ex Aus a while back with no rego. Took a bit to sort but now looks good. Owner is a nice guy.

Where do people source there xxx911 plates? Surprising number out there. Don't imagine they're buying via the plates.co.nz fleece machine.
