Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Cup 2's if anyone is interested http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-...-966282684.htm
That little 911T is pricey but sweet. Glad its been left LHD. Wasnt aware they only revved to 6200. I think my Ford Ranger diesel isnt far behind that ;-P
To be fair the tyres were a v good price with PCNZ discount and there's a major 60k service in there too. Still would prefer to spend $5k on something more fun than ball joints, filters and bearings :-P
Dug. Pretty sure you could save 30%+ on those parts if you imported them yourself. $1482 for wheel bearings sounds excessive. Maybe I had just forgotten how much those things cost.....
5K isnt too bad given 2 x tyres are included. I know what you mean tho when you look at it as a whole invoice - its scary. I had a few bills on the 993 last year which would have paid for a month or more global travel (gearbox and diff rebuild along with new aircon unit install etc comes to mind - I think I could have flown to Europe for a few weeks on that one!!).

^^^^^ yeah I know. Problem is when the car is up on the hoist and they're into it. It gets hard to say stop, garage it for a week while I try to source the right parts myself. Those prices are parts + labour + GST. The whole wheel carrier needs to come off which is really dismantle the whole suspension including shocks to get the job done.
By my understanding those wheels would work well on a 964. I'm running your old cup 2s with rears with 55 offset plus 20mm spacers to look right. So 70mm offsets would be pretty spot on? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Hi Doug. Opposite issue. 55 plus 20mm spacer is 35 ET. These are 70 ET so will require 35-40mm spacer (heavy and expensive).
The ET70 will work on the front of Porsche 928 tho.

I've not really grasped offsets. Are they the same as ET?
This diagram suggests a higher offset pushes the wheels outward further, hence my [mistaken?] interpretation that 55s with 20mm spacers would be the same as wheels with a 70mm offset???

(Apologies to those out there cringing at this novice here)
This was just posted by Manu on the 7.14 BTG lap in the 991 GT3 the clip I posted above.
7.28 vs 7.25 (factory) for a full lap is quite an achievement and pretty much as fast as he has managed in his Speciale!
"Hi everyone!
Happy that you liked the video.
I have never lapped BTG as I prefer to record a full lap but now with the speed limits I loose few seconds on the straight and it is better to consider BTG times.
So if you calculate a full lap it is plus 17 seconds (23 of the straight minus 5 seconds of T13 straight because all the official laptimes are taken without T13).
So this was a lap of 7.31 full lap starting from the box.
Coming directly from the straight it is 2.3 seconds faster with speed limit, in fact if you look at my Telemetry on the right, I have to challenge my previous lap that started 2 seconds faster as it was a launched lap.
I can do 7.28 and the official time is 7.25, I don't think I will be able to achieve 7.25 but it is pretty close as well.
With the Speciale I did 7.27 (there weren't speed limits) and ideal time from telemetry of 7.24. The official time said by test drivers is 7.20."

Phil - good move getting your Turbo pinned and those hoses refreshed. Look forward to running with you sometime soon.
