Only $525,000. My old Turbo 3.6 will be in similar condition when the repaint etc is finished http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Very-Rare-...3D837418208514

Love the name of the outfit. Never heard of them - "Appreciating Classics" (a sign of the bubble taking on new shape). That's about 100K GBP more than your buyer was quoted at JZM/Maltons for a mint UK RHD example 9 months ago and about 100K more than your car will owe him. sounds like a bit of a fishing expedition price wise but if I were Richard Id be wrapping that up and thinking about getting out of it in the next 3-6 months. Its not going to get driven much afterall.

PEL. To be perfectly honest thats a steal at 79K regardless of stick. You wont find a stick 360 very easily. I was hesitant about the F1 transmission until I took a drive in a friends 360F1 and I have to confess the single clutch transmission is a real hoot. Its not as smooth or quite as fast as the PDK box but IMO there in lies the attraction. It bangs gears through with drama and apart from shorter clutch life with the system I saw no reason to steer clear of it. Its like a manual with a hydraulic clutch actuator. Was plenty quick enough for NZ roads, made a lovely sound (absolute must have IMO) and I like the way Fiat have mounted the large paddles to the column not the wheel. Overall I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. As an auto its grabby, violent and crap but as a B road weekend warrior in "manual mode" the harshness of the drive-line when banging in gears was evocative. Ive been on the fence for a 355 for many years and learnt alot about them but decided in the final analysis that its not the car for my lifestyle (too many unexpected big bills and not reliable enough to park up for months in storage expecting it to work first time on re acquaintance). The 360 IMO is a much better proposition and the lower cost of ownership choice. The shape has grown on me. its a very wide car for NZ roads so a bit more tricky to place on the road but this is an issue for most modern Fezza.

Yes don't think you can get either for below 100k, the 512 seems to have shot up, like most other desirable new classics. The reliability is a big plus for the Porsche's. There's a foreigner who's had a few assets seized, they will be coming up in the next couple of months.
NZ new, a 62,000 km, year 2000 car sold by the crown. Wonder if ex Kim Dotcom or similar? Pre-auction price estimate was 55-65k but they're always low to garner interest. As Macca pointed out, buying a Fezza is one thing, maintaining it another, but at least this one had just had the clutch and cambelt done. I'd miss my Turbo's performance too much to consider a 360, but they do look and sound great.

It's from Operation Genoa: http://www.stuff.co.nz/motoring/news...les-to-be-sold
I know most fezzas are garage ponies but it does still deserve to be driven more:
Though it does look like Doug had it for a month back in 2004!
Sshhh - can't have the neighbours noticing...
My work truck was also gone, leaving the 930 on DD for 2 weeks, it's been an experience.
Will keep the Turbo, It's been at Motorscience for 4 weeks, I love that car, have been considering the UMW tune, saw your positive comments, have a feeling Im going to get talked out of it though.

To be honest I need to be a better driver before worrying about more power. I'm doing the driver education day in a couple of weeks in the 930 so that's a start, Figure if I learn how to pedal that properly the 996 will be easy.
