Warwick - you are welcome to detail a gt3 too if you want. Happy to work a contra.

Matt - do you have a line on reasonably priced 996 RS rep tail - similar to yours?
Next time I go to the Tui factory I'll make a board just for you "I'll just leave it as is" Yeah right.

[QUOTE=Macca;12317806]Paul. Seriously. Leave it 100% stock for now.

Agreed about stock.

RS tail is better looking. Hadn't considered Matt's comments about aero balance.

My car is missing a splitter.

Going to take your advise on stock Geo.

Have just given full service, replaced every oil in the car, plugs and will get new feet as tires are timber blocks....

Only mod At this stage rear control arms to hold geo.

Ok, Banner bill has come through: $317.69 for 9 banners so $35.30 each.

Walter has already paid (lucky as they cocked up his order).

Gary P - I will work out how much yours is to post when I get back to NZ next week. I'll need to buy a mailing tube.

Chris T: Red on Black & Black on White
Gary P: Iris B on Black
John H: Red on Black
Leong G: Red on Black
Jake: Red on Black
Macca: White on Red
Walter: Black on Pastel Yellow - Paid

$35.30 each banner. Bank details are on the RSG forum thread for banners.

Leong, I go past your surgery on the weekends to drop my son off to work at BurgerFuel Pakaranga so I could drop it off there if that helps. Others we can work out. I see most of you regularly.

Default Dunlop 800

For the seven committed drivers I have started a thread on the RSG site about the Dunlop 800. Five weeks to go.

Disappointed but he's joined RSG so can mix it up with us more now I hope.

Is the current success due to Dean or the overall CCS package? I suspect a bit of both.
1. I think he's been in the job something like 16 years and wants to make a break. Lots of holidays owing so is going to look after the new puppy and work on the long hood for a while to finish it off. Wouldn't say (or doesn't know) where he'll end up for a job.

Queens Birthday long weekend and heading up to Oakura with Jan in the RS60 early in the morning. Weather forecast is bad (wet) north easterly (the worst quarter up there) so it will be lots of reading in front of the fire while listening to the surf and rain on the tin roof me thinks. It's nice any time so looking forward to it. I'll scare some pukes if I can for the boys.

Douggie. Take it easy on the roads north. I can imagine you both cozying up infront of the fire with a book!

As for the inside skinny on Dean I can honestly say I know nothing more than most of you and I agree that 1). for reasons Doug says above is most likely. Dean is debt free and financially secure plus has 4 months holiday leave owing so I think he has some time up his sleeve to work out the "what's next?". My only wish is that he stays in the motor industry, but he has to do what's best for him and Brigetta in the long run...one thing taht will be nice is spending more time with him when Im back in September as hopefully he wont be rushed off his feet as he usually is and being a "man of leisure" I need all the buddies like that I can get :-)

I hope that I'm not alone in observing that a lot of current mass market car design seems to have gone to the dogs...

You are not alone. On my most recent trip to NZ even Joanna commented that a white Kia Sportage looks identical to her as a white Hyundai Santafe? as a BMW X3. I had to agree. From 300m I cant tell the difference between the bulk of these new designs on the road. The new mini for example has totally designed the design language carried over from the original to the more recent generation which looked alot better IMO to the latest. It gets worse with the French. The Asian brands are all copying the Eurros and even the Euros have gone ugly (The little little 45 AMG I quote as an example along with Menege 265 etc). Sorry for spelling. Totally agree regards design...

Yeah, the shipping with sun Coast seems ludicrous. I was pulling the trigger on some clear corners at NZ$180ish and shipping brought it in at over $320. Pelican seems to be able to ship a small light box for around $40 and it still gets here in a week.

Use Maccas supplier. Sends USPS International priority at cost (usually around $25 for small box) ...

With no porsche to clean, spent the afternoon tidying up the rest of the stable. I do like cleaning cars when you get the time to do a good job. I'm thinking the RS4 needs to visit OCD as it's still got lots of fine tar spots all over it from South Island tour. Have to get me some of that dragons breath from them too.
