Sure has. Richard wants pristine. He is off to a good start with the quality of the bodywork and interior, but like you he wants a perfect paint job so repaint it is. Wheels and calipers as well. It will be immaculate.

Then everything in between.
Lucky its not a race, ay wot...!

I don't have any real need for it. I'd be happy to remove it to be honest. I was tongue-in-cheeking that if any thing goes wrong with a system its usually the most expensive part

Or a line up on the main straight. It would also be great to do an overhead of all the cars. Don't know if that's possible and we don't want to take up too much track time with posing but it would be cool

John. I haven't driven the 993 since it went in in Feb for annual service and Targa prep but they say the system was still fully charged and 100% fine and the fault was a fuse somewhere. I guess I'll find out if it is true on the way to Oakura...

Agree with Warwick, near the start line on the track would be cool. All crammed in together.

Have considered it, but havent put in the time necessary to make an informed purchase.

Like the idea of a shot of the cars on Tuesday. Perhaps at the end of the day? Will be there earlyish regardless so before suits me as well (as long as it doesn't eat into track time for everyone!).

Heading to C&C for a coffee and a catch up at 9:30. For those in AK; head down if you've got a free morning.

Great morning at C&C. Great to catch up with Jake, Paul, Dave M, Dave B and meet some new faces (Chris T - lovely Cayman R love the exquisite heigo style cage!). The 991 GT3 attracted a tonne more attention than I expected judging my the nose marks on the drivers window. Great 964 turn out although I wouldn't have known who half the owners were. Had some interesting chats with Paul Higgins, Neil T and Paul Halford. As I had nothing planned today apart from packing for tomorrows Playdays it was a very welcome reprise and the weather even played ball. Unfortunately tomorrow is looking wet....

Damn! I thought I heard a flat 6 as I put the car away. Walked back down the driveway and saw the back end of your car heading over the speed bumps. Thought it may have been Sam. Didnt have either of your numbers to call sorry. Would have been great to catch up. Car sounds nice. Tuesday well meet :-0

Your car looks mean and sounded good too. You gave it a wee spurt just after the roundabout behind the mall. bwaaarp. It must get frustrating at times, having all that performance and not being able to use any of it on the road

Oh and my neighbour has a dark grey 991 gt3 as well. Beautiful car

Thanks Warwick. Power corrupts. Admittedly I cant use much of it around the streets of Auckland but Paul, Doug, Jake, John and others will tell you it does get used on the road. Albeit not legally which is a shame. Its the same for most modern machinery, even the GT4 will be no different - the difference being the left arm and leg will be busier. The engine is the highlight of the GT3 series and always has been. Light internals with a heady rev limit. The only way to experience repeated 7000-9000rpm is on the track...so to the track it goes. Other than that there is the Targa Tour - until it gets regulated to death which is not too long now. Agate Grey 991 GT3, not sure I know that car (there is one for sale in SI)? You must talk him into visit us for an RSG day some time.

P.S. When the roads are quiet (late) that little route back of the mall is a nice place to get to 9000 before the roundabout in 2nd. Cant cause too much trouble there I have found and no neighbours to awake :-)
