Costco LA...cheApest place to get your supplements apparently!

Fuel 55c a litre. Eye fillet 14 dollars a kilo. New Merc c63 AMG 65k and a decent pad about half what it costs for equivalent suburb and quality of home in Auckland. Power and almost every other index of living in USA is less than NZ apart from medical which requires insurance and a few other forms of insurance....

More photos from our 987 run this morning (sorry, they're mostly beauty shots). 7am freshness, low sun, very little traffic until around 9am.

Couldn't wipe the grin of John's face. He's definitely in lust with the R. It looks great on the road.

Pete, go with the black accents (grills, mirrors, spoiler and black mags with coloured logo. Quite a difference in look from 18s to 19" - just don't get nicer wheels than me, that's all :-P

Nice photos, nicer cars. Where was the pic taken with the barn in the background?

I almost get the feeling if an old air sucker came along on the Cayman / Boxster drive it would be excluded from the family photo's! Would have been too slow to make the photo op in time....

Can anyone recommend a decent Japanese online auction site or broker for buying a car from Japan privately?

The R drives as well as it looks. I put the PDK into Sports mode and it was hard to hold back, especially on the tight twisties. Sorry Pete, I wasn't trying to have intimate relations with the S, I was on a roll and got a bit carried away. Like a good ski run carving back and forth across the fall line.

Never. It would be in the front of the pic. I think this is the only multi-987 only run I've ever been on. Was quite special. Wasn't fast.

Relaxed I'd call it (aka Pete being a nanna on the road &#128516 They are great cars for cruising and pushing occasionally. The R was very much the star and very glad that some bonding is going on there, even though it means we won't be seeing it on TM anytime soon.

Just need a silver 964 though and we could complete the matching air cooled trifecta.

An alpine tour of extremes by L90. A nice read. Makes me feel like planning the ultimate NZ road trip.

What's your favourite NZ road/drive?

I'll start: Maungakahia Valley from Titoki to Kaikohe
