Interesting afternoon. Was driving through G.I and saw this parked up. Went round again, and then again and thought I'd better stop for a chat otherwise it looked a bit weird me gawking out the window each time.
I asked if I could buy it. It is a roughy, like really rough. It's a 74 backdated, ex USA but converted to RHD. Apparently it was on TM 6 months ago. I don't recall it. She said no sale but her son said he'll work on her.
Anyone remember seeing this? A perfect rat rod.

The 3.3T auction has been updated with price drop and an interesting blurb... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-807581709.htm
To whom it may concern,
The 911 Turbo FRB645 was given to me by Prince Jefi from the Royal Family of Brunei.
It was a present of one of several cars while I was employed by the family in Close Protection.
The car was originally purchased for his Royal Highness but during its time in Brunei was used as a daily driver by Michael Schumacher while he and several other F1 Drivers were there as guests of the family and looking in to the possibility of building a F1 track in Brunei.
This did not happen as they ended up financing the Sepang Track in KL Malaysia.
It was shipped to NZ with very low miles on it as it was one of about 4,000 cars owned by his Royal Highness.

Wayne Tempero

Price drop? Geez I didnt notice.
Interesting letter. Wayne was a body guard that is true. He also left with a couple of cars after Jeffri committed the family to near bankruptcy with the Amedeo Development Corp, that is true too. I understood Wayne was given that car and the 993 as payment for services rendered (i.e. payment) on his departure. Thats is what I was told by someone close to the transaction. Wether Schmacher drove the car or not I have no idea and I doubt it will ever be possible to prove. I met Lenny Kravatz in Selfridges in 1996. Well he walked by while I was buying a shirt at the RL concession and he looked at my swede loafers. Im wouldnt take less than 20,000 clam is anyone is interested in them :-P

Yes you will kick your self when you see it , I drove it today , it's a great drive , and the Green is light in colour , very easy to live with , more so than the dark blue or red I have seen in others .
The gear box had a lazy third gear , Powehause have rebuilt it , hence the increase in price , I'm hoping it could be in my garage next year .

Yes, very itchy. Still smarting from buggerising around and not buying your C3. 996's are tempting but risky. Looking for opportunities to add some value, have a bit of fun and not take a bath when done with it.

Paul, Will be ordering bits for oil & filter service including pollen & fuel, may get struts for engine room.
Have done 10tkm in 1 year ownership. No problems to report. Been busy - work on stewart Is, Fiordland Akaroa & greater Kaikoura area, have moved house ( only 4 km). Family gone to Ger for cold wet christmas - no snow yet. Picked up brother from Brisbane 1 o'clock today (a.m.) Going to D'urville tomorrow to get dinner
Only thing I've done to car is Tore hid kit & led reading lights - have to take daughter for dance lesson to Cheviot 1-2 times/week - sit & read while I wait. Oh - and I drive it ! lol
Can recommend Landcruiser for bullet-proof tow vehicle, lot bigger luggage capacity than any Euro wagen - just change oil & filter at 10 tkm & go

When I looked at the cobalt blue 3.3 just before I bought mine the guy said Schumacher drove it around Monaco as a courtesy car for the Grand Prix that year I'm guessing 92. Nice story but who knows.
