Did anyone win the Macca Cup off me this year?
The SITT was 2014, so maybe I get to hold onto it until the 2015 NITT?
I think Dougie could be a contender as his cars look like the cup (I hope you take this in good spirits Dougie).
And I have tried hard to keep my nose clean since then.

Santa came early (as Mrs Claus is often heard to say). Thanks for all the advice on tyres and suspension from many corners awhile back. Everyone is different and I had opinions ranging from whole hog while you're in there go nuts, to leave it be - Mr Porsche knows what he is doing. In the end I elected for KW V3 (the only thing in recent times I've been able to source cheaper thru an NZ distributor than overseas), changing out the wishbone bushes for powerflex (Steve R supplied), sitting on MPSS 225&275 (tire rack, saved a grand over Hyper), and lowering to RS height with slight rake (I asked for RS but it looks a poofteenth higher which I am happy with as it'll keep me out of the sleeping policemen). Also had the wheels reconned at wheel fixit.
First impressions, it appears more glued even sitting at the lights - nothing like a placebo. Turn in is particularly sharp now and I look forward to stretching the legs a bit idc. It is set at the KW factory settings for now but seems both more sure footed and more comfortable than previously.
Sorry for the cr+p photo. More to come when summer comes back.

Looking good Jason.
Suspension refurb and geo is the best way to improve a cars performance.
Having done this twice now and watching 2-3 seconds instantly fall off my lap times, it's the best performance bang for buck and the first thing I'd always do.

Updated iphone photo of Lola from Steve R this morning has raised a smile. Can't wait to get her back... Hopefully late January if I can keep Dave off Steve's back long enough. :-)

LOL, I would be honoured to take it off your hands Paul for 2014 and I think having crashed both my pcars and having them both off the road for our planned Northland runs is going to be my best shot at the Macca Cup. Plus it looks like my cars.

Just let me mount in on a stand at a trophy shop first and I will hand over in the new year.
Dave's car only has to be ready for Xmas - no one ever said which Xmas??

Can you post the pikkie on your rebuild thread Doug? Also, have you still got my RSG T-shirts and are you going to be around the next few days? I'll swing by and swipe em.

Also picked up a perfect Ferrari 412i this week. Done 6,000 miles since new in 1986. 1 owner car (Sir Michael Fay). Pretty cool for an 80's V12 GT -Ferrari with a 5 speed manual box. last production car with the Colombo V12 and with only 6k miles probably the best example in the world and only a handful ever made in RHD as manuals .
Some news on the P1. Arrives in AKL on Sunday night. Should be at McLaren by Tuesday. Probably won't take delivery till early Jan as will want to wrap the front in 3M and need to fit a 6 point harness. If anyone wants to go and have a look feel free. Mention my name to get access.
Also, a friend of mine has a black La Ferrari and we are planning a photo shoot before my car is transported to Hawkes Bay.

When I was a kid I was an aircraft nut and I built a model of a Fokker DVII from WWI. It was the version flown by Ernst Udet a celebrated ace. I can't recall the full story but he had named it after his girlfriend Lola and had "Lo!" written on the side. It has only just occurred to me that there are striking similarities to your Lola Doug: German machine, red, named Lola. Did you know this story (which I may have got wrong in recollecting from 35 years ago).
