haha 76kph not enough wind shadow, in Fraser at any speed over 160kph if I pull my head down 2 inches I can get out of the wind otherwise buffeting on the top of the helmet is noticeable

Ha ha, nice one Macca.
For some pcar talk I've had some new bling ordered and some turn up from around the world over on my Lola rebuild thread. If you're not subscribed here's the latest chatter over on that thread...

Hey Dave, your fuch avitar.... Is that the look you are going to have for all your wheels or are you going to partially paint them.... I like the naked look!!

The price is crazy at $500K kiwi (and Macca thinks they are over rated having owned one).
I suppose in 2-3 years time they will be $600K AUD and we will all be regretting not buying one at $400K AUD now.........
My dad tells the story to me that the classic cars you want to own always go up to the point they stay just out of reach.
When he was younger - he always wanted a 246 Dino - they were $35K in the 70's, then $65K in the 80's when Dad had a $35K early 911, and were just out of reach at $120K in the 90's when Dad had $60-80K SC's/turbo's - and about $350K now..........(when he has a 308)
Moral of the story - suck it and buy one (or live vicariously...........)

That is a complete refinished bare wheel, but I will have them painted period style with background blackout and exposed florets and plenty of rim. Put a lot of work into these and quite happy with the outcome. The naked parts of the wheel will be scotchbrite pad finish which looks quite nice. That is a scotchbrite finish there.

Wheels look great Dave, especially when compared to their original state.
LOL at the gecko resistance test.
OOhhh - my dream car............
