You need two straps for PCNZ events. The 2k cup guys buy theirs from Mitre 10 for $40. Not great eye candy admittedly.

Thanks. The plate looks to support a wide range of brackets/clips: http://www.speedtactics.com/porsche_extinguisher.php

Is a pity they don't ship the Halguard extinguishers globally.

Jake. Hang fire there as I think I have a nice set up will work for you in my Xmas "Garage sale". I will find the images and post. I need to check it works for the 997 chairs. It was designed for Porsche but the older cars maybe. I have it set up with extinguisher and double loop bracket so Im 100% certain it would be perfect for you in that regard. I think it was Saftey craft or saftey industries (I imported from USA). Nice well made piece but not stupidly expense...

Sorry Jake. I looked it up and its made by Stable Energies and appears to be good for almost any Porsche up until the 996 generation so it will not work for you. Apologies.

If anyone is interested in this unit with a 1kg fire extinguisher complete I have a basically brand new set up (was on the car for only a few months before changing to bucket seats). It works with all factory seats with power. $100 complete but will have to wait till Im back in December....

I can ask Tony about 13 Dec as that date is out - we could take a Group if enough interested? Last year we only managed 9 people on the same date - even though it was RSG first anniversary. Too much x-mas shopping!

Otherwise there are Prestige/Regular Playday options in Nov that we could take over and flood with RSG cars. I'll give it some thought and post over on RSG.

As John said - two & Mitre10 will do the trick in a pinch. I've already had a clip come undone from passenger entry/exit, so can see why.

Caught up with Graeme today in Wellington for lunch then a run around the bays in his RS spec 72T which made my day. Should have taken some pics but was too immersed in the experience.

Macca, you'll be pleased that we chatted about brake ducting and I'm coming around that idea.

LOL! Sounds like an ideal way to spend a lunch time!

Doug. Honestly. You are already in there so doing costs nothing but $100 in materials (some hose, some rivets and some poly plastic (youll have some old guard liners to chop up) so you really should consider it. Looking at what you have spannered yourself so far it well within your capability and will put those lovely formed ducts to the task they were designed for. The ducts do nothing for improving oil and air con cooling by leaving them unhooked - there's already a tonne of air entering there as speed through the front grill. If they are just for show then fair enough but the biggest reason no one plumbs them in properly is because of the immense hassle in removing the front bumper and guard liners etc all of are which are already off of your car. Regardless of whether you believe you need brake ducting it WILL prolong the life of your rotors and pads when the car is used hard on the track or in a Targa type situation. I got 7 full track days and over 30,000 kms including a 5 day Targa tour out of my factory rotors, fluid and pads before upgrading them to the larger set up with Endless pads - and they still had a bit of life left in them - Im sure that's in great part due to the additional ventilation from my plumbed ducts. Its really an individual choice thing but Im personally not a big fan on Faux stuff on my cars, if its not performing the job it was designed for then I dont put it on - but there probably plenty of mods I have that do perform a job I rarely need to use LOL!
