That aside, yes I'm keen to get out more casually, especially over Summer. Doug can drive Herman again so I can get some GoPro footage this time. I'd never seen the Fuchs in motion before...mesmerising.

I think the bulk of the ladies are arriving on Friday night. Isn't Thursday movie night?
Yes - they are allowing short hoods now.

I think a 964 can look overtyred fairly quickly if running big rims and 17's are about the right wheel / sidewall proportion for me anyway, maybe 18's but no bigger. A bit like an early 911 or G series running on 16" Fuchs; doesn't look right.
D90's will come screaming back and John's frankenstein hybrids will be king.
that's exactly what I am going to do with them. they're a functional wheel too, light weight. be good for wet track work.

exactly the sort of thing I was referring to when looking down on air bagged 964s. get an impala if you want a low rider.

Perfect John. Just write two cheques, one for the car at $2k and one for $200 for the parts you will have to remove.

Chris, back in Auckland this afternoon and will give the seller a call. This is the immediate way forward for racing for me.

Peter emailed me direct to tell me. Simple truth for me here is purpose. It's not original so not collect able and not competitive as a race car. I'm happy with my current cars. Just need a 2k cup car to get out there.

Congrats John. You are now a Honda owner on your way to a racing career starting from the end of the sport where you will learn the most and be taught the most!

Congrats John, well done. Not sure how you plan to get the car to Auckland, but you are welcome to use my car trailer.
