The seats are horrid for sure but the price looks good. Seriously discounted because it is an unknown quantity and a bit hard to sort if there were future issues?

I drove it for a day and almost bought it before it was sold to Daniel. Daniel had the confine rebuilt after it threw a piston. It was colour changed by the dealer after Daniel traded it on a Merc. Brian bought it at turners after it was written of by the next owner and fixed it up with the help of some friends of his in the trade.
At this price it should move. It's never going to have a perfect provenance but it's a log if car for the money. Worth noting the 0-100 time is BD and it 100% needs a full set of ver good replacing suspension - I drove it and with that poet to 2 wheels it's like a boat - fist owner in Singapore told me he sold it because it was scarf under load and on the brakes - I concur it needs a steady hand but could benefit from modern stiffer underpinnings....
So what's up at HD lads?

In fairness Graeme they write these off now for just a few dented panels. That being said the damage to this can was plenty more than a dented fender and included damage to the front sides and rear. I can't recall exactly but maybe a new front clip was needed. I have the pictures of the car when at Turners for sale for anyone doing their DD on this....

Not my best day today. Gutted at doing a lot of damage to Lola.
On the last run of the day it began raining again and It must have been the second or third round I guess when Lola began aquaplaning about 200m before the lights over the back straight. She began to turn to the right a little and I recovered, then she went the other way and there was no correcting. She spun and I just depressed the clutch and brakes and waited. After a 360 I hit the concrete wall on the RHS of the track, taking a pretty big hit on the front guard area. It was hard enough to snap the A arm. I then bounced off the wall spun a couple more times right across the corner before hitting the tyre wall just where the kitty litter started. The the left front took that impact. Like Chris said, it was like slow motion. Once I'd stopped I turned her off and checked that I wasn't hurt and gingerly got out so that everyone could see I was ok.
I've got a little pain in my upper back and a headache that comes and goes, but otherwise are completely unhurt. I expect to find some sore bits in 24 hours I should expect.
I had a chat with Chris M just to talk to him about it seeing he's gone through the same sort of thing. I've got to try and focus on the fact that I'm lucky to be unhurt rather than unlucky to inflict so much damage on my beloved car.
I was going to post some photos but can't bring myself to do it yet. Suffice to say front right wheel area, both front guards, bumper, oil cooler, drivers door, and a touch on the right rear guard. Left side and rear untouched apart from the left front guard. All the lights smashed. I think the bonnet is ok, but possibly on closer inspection may not quite turn out to be.
Lots of different emotions going on.
Grateful to Steve, Dan and Gary for moving Lola to Steve's garage for now. Thanks for the lift home Paul.

Mate, that sux big time. So glad you are in one piece and hope you're still feeling ok in the morning - sounds like a big knock so take it easy. We know how much you love that car and the drives she's given you so far.

Dougie. mate! Big big condolences. I read Joanna your post and we are both most upset but very relieved to hear you are physically unharmed.
I can imagine much is going through your mind right now. Some of it you will be trying to blame yourself. What happened to you could have happened to anyone today. Infact Neil himself had a similar off in his GT3 near that spot only last year. Its a common place on most tracks it would seem for water to pool and cause some scary moments in the wet.
Make a strong coffee, take a few pain killers, maybe have a stiff drink, tell work you will be in late tomorrow (you will be real stiff in the morning 100%) , go to bed early and just go to sleep. Sleep is a happy place - you can deal with the rest of this tomorrow (nothing will change between now and then). You have good people around you who will help. We all will.
Take care!

Thanks Guys. I've got a lot of emotions going through my head at the moment which will no doubt be a theme for a while. Went to pour a nice big red wine then thought the better of it as this headache keeps coming and going so best not to push it.
