P.S. Interesting some of the unresolved design details you observe when posting the pictures together. For example the front bumper PU was reputedly the same parts for the standard 991 GT3. Now I can see how they have achieved that by simply making the black rubber "fender" part of the front splitter (separate part but smaller tapering out to nothing on the 991 GT3) much wider to accommodate the wider front track!

It also beats me why they need a cheap plastic liner inside teh rear "turbo scoops" on the rear genders when resolving them in sheet metal same was as the 993 Turbo S would be so much more attractive. This was a habit started on the 996TT and one I suspect was driven by the bean counters.

Last observation - although they say the "double bubble" is to aid in making space for pilots with helmets (crapolla - even at 6'2 I have 2" above helmet in the standard 991 GT3 - even John could drive in it with my thick Bell Sport Mag and be not touch the roof!), it appears to me (I have checked some scans of my car I have at virtually the same profile) that the roof bubbles have been built up so the roof line starts at the same place (due to same window shield one supposes) but rises higher and looks "fatter" from front and rear perspectives. This could be due to a poor aspect ration on these internet leaked scans but I feel pretty certain the roof is indeed a bit higher at the tops of the bubbles (bit awkwardly resolves again).

However, same as the base GT3 its really hard to get real impression till youve seen it in the metal. Im quite curious as to how many will sell in NZ. My guess is 4-6 units.

Sure am. Had my entry confirmed so I'm locked in

I'll look out for you on the track. Playday sessions seem to attract 2k cup practices as we are finding with Black Beauty. She is currently being hounded by a doppelgänger. The previous owner must have upset a few other racers. We're putting BB out there tomorrow. Right now I'm seriously looking for a good base car that can run enduros as well.

Does the GTI have an advantage with weight to power or other measures?

John. enduro like Chris H & Chris B in a 2k cup car?

What's the entry fees for something like that NI enduro series? Surely thousands?

Yes, it was done and they seemed to enjoy it.

Entry fees

Cost
Registration to the series
One off registration fee of $50.00 per driver.
If you are racing in more than one series i.e. 1 & 3 hour you will need to pay 2x registration fees

Entry fee per race meeting
1 hour $275.00 per round
3 hour $500.00 per round
6 hour $925.00 per round
If you would like to have a cross entry it is an additional $50.00 per round per entry on top of the longest drive. E.g. 1 & 3 hour entry = $550.00 and $100.00 registration fee per cross entry driver as a one off fee for the season.

Indeed - and some of them had some really good battles. I was surprised as well but I'm guessing there we 4-5 at least - many doing the 3 hour and at least 1 that did the 6 hour.

Bloody brilliant. Who needs a Porsche to go racing ?
I'm assuming they would have had to spend some money on preparing the cars with the required safety gear and some more durable ancillaries to go the distance?

Looking forward to chasing BB at track days.

The guys who went before specifically choose the 205 because of the 875kg kerb weight, 130hp and handling. However the fast Toyota's are factory 200hp and are the 'head' car. But in my opinion they're just Toyota's and with consistency the series is wide open.

Highlands video done. What incredible weather we had. Also had some footage I wasn't expecting e.g. Matt had two cameras on his car when he did his spin. I will see if YouTube will allow me to publish those excerpts with the soundtrack unmuted.

Hmmmm, what tyres are you boys going to run tomorro? Looks like it will rain most of the day.

I'm wondering about wearing my 16" RE-11s vs 17" R888s

What's my best shot of having more traction in the wet than John with his Z221s?

Might be the day for 4WD dam it :-)

Calling all 964 owners....

I don't have Mr Black at home atm. Would someone mind measuring the length of the rear middle tail light reflector for me? I have a line on a good replacement and am trying to work out shipping

cheers

Hm I don't have a choice really.
I have to take my R888 on the Fuchs. On the Cookie cutters are still the old tyres which don't have tracktion.
