Diesel Cayenne and VW emission issue

The bridge warranty doesn't matter to us since we have the two year CPO extension. It goes into the last half of 2018 for 2013 owners and the fix has a 2017 Oct/Nov first deadline. I don't know what VW and Audi owners got so it should be more important to them.

I got an email yesterday from Volkswagen group of America stating "The class bridge warranty will expire on the date on which an Emissions Compliant Repair for your vehicle is approved or disapproved by the EPA and CARB." Apparently the extension wasn't really for 2 years as I understood, but just until that decision is final. Anyone else get this document? I have a 2013 if that makes a difference.
At least that's my interpretation.

Totally OT sort of - but not actually.
This thread will be moving to the 958 subforum, since all diesels being discussed are 958's. This will happen on or after July 27th. There will be an expiring link left in the "Cayenne" top-level forum that will redirect you to the link in the 958 forum.
If you've bookmarked this thread - wait until it's been moved - then please redo your bookmark.
Other than that - continue as usual..

What amazes me is the degree of $ counting that created the mess. If you guys go to the beginning of this thread, we were talking about the 2.0 issues and that it does not apply to 3.0 because we use AdBlue. I could not imagine that cheating occurred because the manufacturers did not want a bigger AdBlue tank because of space and/or service interval.
All this mess because of the size of the AdBlue tank?

I think that one has to deal with Europe. Most likely something we already found in the US.

Claim @ the dealership like most painless. So I ask 1 salesman about the fix and he said they'll have 1 shortly. I then ask my service tech guy and he says no 1 knows a thing, and thinks it'll be a software fix, and like some have said an add blue tank modification whenever. Finally, I ask the service manager and he says they might never come up with a fix. He said the field rep is completely in the dark as Porsche corporate is extremely tight lipped.

In my case all the paper work I saw didn't obligate to anything. It might have online when I made the appointment, I don't remember. I think when I initially agreed to be part of the class action was when I committed or opted out of any other claims.
I know I felt obligated to spend money on new suspension parts for my 997, guilt free .
