Should have filled payment info in online already. All you need to have is the P!g, yourself, and your license.

Quick check - anyone receive Bosch compensation check yet?

I've heard and seen nothing. Mostly just curious, but ...

No Bosch payment here either. I did get my 1/2 payment from VW.

If you are meeting with the rep you won't need that. You'll provide it online later. Bring your Diesel, license, and a smile.

Nothing here. It's been about a month since the first check arrived.

Just FYI - AutoZone has DEF on sale. Shell Rotella AdBlue, "2 for $20" - two 2.5 gal jugs.

At my last oil change (which I'm now due, almost exactly 5k ago) they asked me if I wanted them to top off the AdBlue and I said "no." A) I didn't want to pay Porsche price for DEF and B) I wanted to see how long I'd go before I got the "low DEF warning".

So, in *theory*, I should have gone 10k now on the tank of DEF. I bought 5 gal (two 2.5gal jugs) figuring it'd probably need almost all of it (though my warning has NOT gone off yet).

Well it took about 2gal. Made a bit of a mess as I was not expecting it to not even take a single full jug.

So now I'm wondering... did I really only use 2gal of DEF in 10k miles or did they top it off anyways, and not charge me?

I'd bet on them having topped you off anyway. It varies from dealer to dealer if they charge you or not it seems.

Yes the stuff is a mess when you spill it. Tomorrow you'll likely find it crystalized even in areas you thought you got cleaned up well.

As far as the distance, I've gotten about 12.5k from full to a few hundred miles left on the count down.

Ok that sounds about right then - they probably topped me off and didn't charge for it (shocking!) 12.5k on 5gal sounds like that's probably about where I was at. 2gal for 5k = 4gal for 10k and 1gal left for the remaining 2.5k.

Seeing as how it left a small puddle under the vehicle (so knowing there was an escape path) I dribbled the hose on/around the tank to rinse it... then rinsed the garage floor.

Does not the DEF refill(s) fall under the extended warranty?

As in, for free?

No, not to my understanding. I think part of the settlement supposedly includes "one free oil change" and "one free AdBlue refill".

FYI, I just bought DEF at walmart. Their generic brand was 7.88 for 2.5 gallons. car said 550 miles of driving range left, and it took roughly 1 and 2/3 containers before it topped up.

The walmart DEF is the best deal I've seen, I have bought it twice there.
