Thanks. 996 is getting rims refinished and new summer tires in next few days. Initial comparison, my 996 MT is quick, nimble with a long 3rd gear that is a joy to play in. Steering is precise and the car feels like its on rails...video game like I sometimes describe it. The new 997 PDK with its FSI 4.0L, is simply explosive!! I really haven’t driven it much other than on my 800 mile interstate trek at highway speeds, but i can clearly feel the 50% more hp. Steering feels less precise, but when I finally had a chance to go WOT i realized this is really a track car impersonating as a dd.
Great to hear that it is running strong! You have a very special motor in there. Steering feel could be down to wheel/tire combo 18s vs 19s. Enjoy the new ride. I am sure once you get it on familiar back roads or the track you will have a lot more to say about it.

Never an easy decision. Beautiful spec! GLWS.
If you decide to sell the sport classic wheels separate, I’d be interested!

That really is an outstanding looking car! I can understand the difficulty in parting with it.

You should post a link to the ad, but why in the world would you decide to do that?
Really digging these BBS wheels. Have any more pics of your car? What model and spec are they?
Thanks! They are OZ Leggera HLT's, 19x11 19x8.5, powdercoated gunmetal with a brilliant finish, I'm actually putting them up for sale next week! Here are some more pics. Trading to a set of Ultra Leggera's in GT3 fitment.
THese will be for sale next week for anyone interested! PM.
sunroof had been acting up. It was not remembering it’s limits. I typically open it in the vent setting but when closing the roof it would actually try and open further. If I went through the relearn procedure it would work properly for a while. Everything I read suggested the logic board was the problem.
Replacement was straightforward. After teaching the new unit things appear to be working properly. Real test will come the next couple times I take the car out.
On Friday, I took her in for an inspection and got to hang out at the shop. It's nice to be able to talk to car enthusiasts, especially when our winters keep us from events. I then stopped by a dealership to talk about trading her in and finding another car, just to see what they can do for me. Saturday was fun since I got to do some errands and drive the Porsche some more. Then I cleaned out the interior which didn't take long since it's always clean anyway. I'm going to attempt to wash her by hand today even if it's only 40 degrees.
Put some effin dents in the front and rear wheels on the driver's side of my '06 C2S. Drove up to visit my mom and aunt, hit a damn pothole because Phoenix had a bunch of rain and their streets fall apart when water touches them.
Not major dents, but enough to cost me. Ride back to Tucson was "fun" with rhythmic vibration from my newly shaped wheels.

That sucks. Yeah, when the rain comes, I'm always looking out for new potholes. It's even more interesting if you're driving while it's raining and you hit new pot holes that you can't see because there's so much water on the road. This is the main reason I see myself sticking with 18" wheels.
