Wheels look sharp... hope they hold up. Bumper looks like a different color, frankly....

I stop, jack up the front end, and push so the car rolls onto the higher curb off the jack.....

(I drive diagonally across the curbs....)

With PSE - it's awesome. With the PSE cans in the quiet setting, there is very little difference from stock. With the PSE on the loud setting, its a big difference from stock. The sound is much better. Fit was excellent. Easy to install. I like the more rumbly sound of the Sharkwerks over the smoother sound of the Fabspeed X-pipe style, but both get the job done.

In 100% agreement with all he said.

Damn, I really wish I waited for a car with PSE but I got such a good deal I couldn't let it go. I've seen lots of people say not to pay up for PSE if you didn't get it with the car but it's not really that much different in price than the aftermarket valved options and i like the factory integration. I may need to go for it despite the detractors.

With SW + Fisters you would have a very similar open sound at a reasonable cost. They're just always loud. But even that isn't very loud until the RPM climbs over 4000. The valved aftermarket mufflers sound great, just a bit different. They can all be synced to a garage door opener button when you don't have the pse electronics in place.

I have to decide how much a want the quiet mode. My 997 isn't a daily driver so I don't strictly need it but it's a 'nice to have'. I should probably try to hear a Fister/SW in real life before making a call. Looks like it's about $2000 more for the PSE plus whatever the cost would be for a P dealer to "activate" the PSE .

No one wants quiet mode... even on a daily driver like my 997.2. Get the Fister first and you won't regret it. Then you can see if you want to go further with it.

I'm contemplating the SW X-pipe but am pretty happy with the Fister alone. It's slightly louder than stock but the real difference is the tone which is what you're truly paying for.

Darrin Fister makes great products, no question. Just as a counterpoint to mujeriega's post above though, I appreciate having a quiet mode. I've had PSE on two 911s now (a 996.2 and now a 997.2) and I use quiet mode all the time... more often when driving in a spirited manner. Because that's when I don't want to attract any more attention than necessary.

Default De-chroming initiated

Painted my Fabspeed tips black.... I rattle canned them black although I don’t like the chamfered flared ends and they stick out a tad too far. Won’t go in the bumper further but still better than the chrome! I wonder if anyone makes them with the Fabspeed offset for quad tips with maybe carbon? I saw the PSE tips split from the center.

Need to either paint the chrome turbo emblem or order new black.

Lowered it on H&R springs and installed adjustable rear to links.

Torque Solutions. The inside heim didn’t fit the subframe by about .4 mm so I sanded .2 mm off each side with some 150 grit.
