Pics please. There is so little color in the interior of my car, I should have gone red. I tried to look into altering the seats with fabric inserts but it was a bigger job than I wanted to deal with now.
Installed DasShield frunk protector which exposed the weak hood struts, so those got replaced as well.
Haha, I did the same thing! Installed the frunk protector (which really finishes off the look of the frunk), and all of a sudden discovered that my 15 year old frunk struts wouldn't support my hood anymore. One more thing to replace!
I want to cover steering wheel in black alcantara however everyone says not a good idea because it wears badly. It looks great on other cars however I don't want to go against other's recommendations. Any advice? I am not hard on my belongings.
I had an aftermarket Alcantara wheel in a previous car for about 20,000 miles and it held up great. It definitely takes more effort to take clean than a leather wheel but it's pretty quick and easy to clean it. You just have to do it more often.
Paint corrected the hood with a heavy cutting compound, then polished, isopropyl wipe down, and 2 coats of nano ceramic. Don’t have time to do the whole car at once, so I started with the hood on an extra swirlie black car.
I had my first rear seat passenger. It didn't look very comfortable for them (probably 6 foot tall). Definitely gives me some inspiration to get another car...the BMW E23 has been catching my eye as of late.
It's warm here in SLC (the warm before the storm...) so it was a good night for a quick ride. My daughter wanted to come so we hopped in and went for a 35 minute loop - mostly 1 lane canyon road, quick return on the highway. She talked the entire ride, without stopping - well, except for that one really fast left-hander that's just too much fun. I heard about her friends, her classes, all the middle school drama, everything I could have thought to ask about, and I didn't even have to ask. It was pretty special - reminds me of rides with my dad.

Oh I miss the canyon roads of Utah. Nothing like that here in Texas.
