Cleaned the entire car yesterday.
Tested out Gaffer tape on the front bumper today in preparation for autoX next week. Not trying to kill any cones, but I can't be too sure. It holds at highway speeds so I can prep it at home before I go.
Ordered TrackArmour and Road Warrior paint protection to see what will work best as a temporary solution until I get the front rewrapped. Have been on the fence about putting PPF back on since the car looks so great without it, but will probably cave soon.
Cleaned the door sills with Magic Eraser, coated them with a plastic detailer and then covered them with black Gaffer tape so that nobody accidentally scuffs them when I bring the car in to the dealer for an oil change and Sport Chrono upgrade this week. Can't wait for Launch Mode!
Then tortured myself looking at a very old house with an even older barn/garage. Gotta stay off the garage threads. Too many ideas.
Let me guess. Garagejournal? That place is dangerous.
Hahaha didn’t make it out of the RL garage pic thread. But thanks for the tip. I’ll check it out next time I need a rabbit hole to explore! I was captivated by the working horse barn with stalls turned car collector garage. Gives new meaning to “A horse is a horse, of course, of course”.
I took of the rear wheels and wheel well liners, cleaned out all the dirt, and applied Dyanamat:
I haven't had a chance to drive on my reference section of road yet, but the road noise seems to be less prominent than before, which is what I was aiming for.
I also tried to fix some damage on the steering wheel trim, but getting a good finish with metallic colors is difficult. At least the spots are less prominent than before.
