Did you use the AMG / Mercedes paddles?

yes. I used the AMG. And I invested $9.99 in a harbor freight dremel tool that made easier.

Visited my car in the indy shop that is doing the OEM Sachs clutch, OEM Luk

flywheel, p/s pump, Numeric shifter and cables, BMC air filters, IPD plenum, SharkWerks bypass pipes, changing the belt, and changing all of the fluids and filters.
New clutch and pressure plate are in.

2009 997.2 C4S cabriolet, six-speed manual, sport chrono. Should be fun when it's done.

Wow, what happened to that clutch? It's covered with hot spots and discoloration. Looks like maybe there's oil on some of the pressure plate fingers too. Was your RMS or slave leaking and getting oil on the clutch surfaces?

Cleaned the exhaust tips today, removed 10 years worth of carbon build up! Not perfect but a hell of a lot better.

Looking good. If you are open to it, I found using a very fine grit sanding sponge, gets it looking nearly new, if you have a brushed finish tip. Just buff with the grain of the metal brushing.

EDIT - I was looking at the wrong tip. The left one looks GREAT! what did you use?

A Dremmel flapper wheel, then a coarse scourer with Autosol. Finally coated with carnauba wax to help prevent future carbon build up.

Drove it for the first time since mid-october.... The satisfaction of it starting as if I never stored it and drove flawlessly without a hiccup or hesitation or smoke, is absolutely priceless.

I had done my oil change with Motul last automn, leaving room for the ceratec treatment that I poored in immediately before the ride.... It just purred like a kitten....

Best isolation therapy ever!

Carnauba wax will provide only very short-term benefit. Should ceramic coat them.

Default Swapped over my key guts to a 997.2 knock off key

It is so much more solid! Purchased a knock off key for $18 and a genuine Porsche logo for $12 and swapped everything else over. I could not be happier.

I like it because it's small and inconspicuous.
What shop if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking about doing this in the near future. I'm in the Bay Area. Thanks!

Interested to hear more about the carbon splitter. Who makes it? How does it fit?
