I'm curious. Would it be possible to substitute Google Maps for IGO Navigation?

I wonder if changing hardware version to A2 would result in the media box working :-) May also disable the front one I guess! Doesn’t look like that can be changed actually.

BTW, any quick tips on ensuring the date stays synchronized. Mine has defaulted to 01-01-2019 a half dozen times.

Not had any issues with the date. Have you got it set to update automatically from gps?

But still worth a try to plug in an AHD cam - you will know immediately if it’s supported or not
Thank you, this is very helpful.
Based on your comment, it seems to me that the Rydeen CP-LIP4 camera offers modern enough resolution combined with OEM-like looks. I also noticed on Amazon that this camera was introduced in May 2021 so that alleviates my concern that this is an outdated camera.

Looks a bit wild still, but hopefully things will settle quickly for all involved.

Here's Here's
a wireless Carplay dongle that plugs straight into the USB port, like a thumb drive. Hoping to find something similar for Android Auto.

Alternatively,
here's here's
a down angled USB extension ribbon that would fit better between the PCCM+ and HVAC units. Not sure about the raw PCB look though.

I have an almost identical camera. Please note that the camera above is merely a reBranded china camera - I would look for an AHD camera - and see if its supported via the PCCM+ (altho sadly unlikely)

There is a vid here on accessing the android system from there https://youtu.be/FQO_smQNB6Q
@dph928 I had a quick look at the android options, but wasn’t sure what I was messing with. No real change as nothing seemed to affect the media box inputs. I think I’ve exhausted options now, so have put the car back together and have installed the media box in the glove box as is. Hopefully Porsche will release an update which will enable the box🤞Thanks for all your help and suggestions🙂

997 just arrived... can't wait to get carplay...!
just wanted to come back to this - for the few of us that haven't been able to buy one of these units yet - where is the best place to purchase one today?
would really love some help here so I can get it shipped and installed ASAP.
thanks!

What did you change? I didn’t see anything that would change RGB of the screen. There’s an LED colour button, assumed that was for the external buttons. I definitely wouldn’t change anything without recording the original setting. Coincidence? Are you sure it’s different.

Got mine from Gaudin too and installed it yesterday. I'm not going to get the nav sd because I use waze. Love how pushing the nav button pulls up waze. Do you have to manually turn off the pcm unit? Mine doesn't turn off when I turn the car off.
